Nestled in the heart of Sparkhill, Birmingham, my recent culinary expedition led me to the delightful haven known as Shinwari Darbar. A feast for both the senses and the soul, my experience at this restaurant was an extraordinary ode to the art of cooking and the pleasures of indulgence.
Ambiance: Upon entering Shinwari Darbar, I was immediately captivated by the warm and inviting ambiance. The décor was a harmonious blend of rustic charm and contemporary comfort, creating an atmosphere that was both laid-back and elegant. The soft lighting, complemented by tasteful ornamentation, set the stage for a truly enjoyable dining experience.
Service: The impeccable service at Shinwari Darbar played a significant role in enhancing my visit. From the moment I walked in, the staff's welcoming smiles and attentive demeanour made me feel like a valued guest. Their knowledge of the menu and willingness to offer recommendations was impressive and greatly contributed to the overall satisfaction of my meal.
Culinary Delights: Now, let's talk about the real star of the show: the food. As a devout carnivore, I was thrilled to explore the menu's offerings, and I couldn't resist trying their renowned ribs and chicken wings.
Ribs: The ribs at Shinwari Darbar were nothing short of a revelation. Cooked to perfection, the meat was succulent, tender, and practically melted in my mouth. The expertly balanced marinade showcased a symphony of flavors, combining smoky, tangy, and slightly sweet notes that left me craving for more. The presentation was artful, with the ribs being garnished with fresh herbs that added a touch of vibrancy to the dish.
Chicken Wings: The chicken wings were another triumph that left an indelible mark on my palate. Each wing was generously coated in a delectable glaze that struck a delightful balance between savory and spicy. The crispy exterior gave way to juicy, well-cooked meat that was an absolute pleasure to savor. The accompanying dipping sauce provided a complementary contrast that elevated the entire experience.
Sides: To complement the main attractions, Shinwari Darbar offered an array of sides that were equally delightful.
Conclusion: My visit to Shinwari Darbar was a memorable culinary voyage that left me with a newfound appreciation for the art of grilling and marination. Whenever I go to restaurants , the first thing I check is if the place stinks of cooking food and I am afraid this is no exception. It's typical of any peshawari chappal kebab restaurant I have visited.. once you go in, you come out smelling full of food stink,, which really puts me off.
