Heard some good things about them so thought i'd head down and try it out. Located in Acocks green on a pretty quiet main road. Parking is non existent so had to park on a side road and walk down to the shop. First thing I noticed when i walked in was there's no physical menu anywhere to view, and to be completely honest the whole setup looked a bit of a mess. There were random chairs just laying about and theres a big fridge and cold room right at the front? (surely thats meant to be in the kitchen?) I was waiting inside for a good few minutes before someone came from the back to serve me, on the plus side the young man was polite and attentive and more than happy to help. After placing my order (the 7" margerita from the bambini menu and strips and fries) I was told it would be around 15 minutes. In total the wait was around half an hour, which wasn't too bad, but was a bit longer than I was expecting. Now the food. The pizza was very nice, different to most standard places, although I'm not familiar with new york style pizzas so not sure if this is how they're supposed to be or not. The base was cooked perfectly and the sauce was very nice, sweet and went perfectly with the cheese. The strips and fries were also of a good standard and worth the money i think. (although ive seen some comments saying they're expensive, i think what you get for the price is very fair,). Overall i was pleased but only gave the 3 stars because of the long wait and because of the fact the overall collection experience wasn't pleasant at all. Clearly this is more of a delivery joint because it seems no attention has been paid to collection at all. Will try ordering a delivery and...
Read moreI tried to pick up my order and was greeted with pure disrespect. I eventually got my order after a little bit of work.
Food was ok, it’s not the best but not the worst either. Garlic bread was genuinely nice and soft and would 100% recommend if you do order. Overall I will not be ordering from here again because I’d prefer to put money into the pockets of workers that actually treat their customers with respect and dignity, and show that they deserve the business.
I can understand that working in a takeaway shop can be stressful and difficult so I really want to give them the benefit of the doubt, but that gives you absolutely no right to treat your customers with disrespect when they only come to get their food and are the people that keep your business alive. It’s unnecessary and quite frankly it takes nothing to be a genuine, sincere and RESPECTFUL employee.
Overall I have tried to make this review as fair and unbiased as possible, hence the 3 stars to the food. I would order from this store if the business was put through customer service training, but personally I doubt that will ever happen so I’ll stay away from it for...
Read moreThe pizza is quite delicious and fills you up nicely. Even the margherita is not bland like a lot of other places make them. I only have a few small things that stop me from giving this place 5*. Firstly, they don't really give you much sauce (if you order online, IDK about in-store). We bought 2 pizzas, strips and 2 fries, and they gave 2 little tubs of sauce. The sauce was delicious as was everything else but I was expecting at least 1 per meal (which would be 3). Secondly I think that the pizzas were a tiny bit undercooked but that might just be me, I like crispier pizza. Not a huge problem. While this place isn't really cheap it isnt bad value and I would definitely recommend it. Maybe just increase the amount of sauce you...
