Sutton Park Cafe — Restaurant in Birmingham

We ordered food from this cafe after we had gave the kids some sandwiches to then be told we couldn't have our own food in there. I wouldn't mind if we were told this before we had spent around £50 between our group on their food. The attitude of the person that runs it was disgusting, I asked why there was no signs to say we couldn't bring a sandwich in and he replied saying he didnt have to put signs up..... I think this is just common sense to do if you dont want it to happen. We then moved outside while we were eating our sandwiches for them to say we couldn't use their tables and chairs either so we then had to move onto the grass to eat our own food and then go back into the cafe to eat the food that was ordered. I just think for sutton park to be strict with their policies they need to out some sort of sign up to say so, they also need to sort the bloke in cafe out and teach him some manners and a bit of...

We regularly use this cafe as we do Parkride with our sen child at mencap. My neurotypical daughter loves an ice cream we have a coffee however I’m sure most of you understand who have sen children feeding them unusual foods does not go down well. My husband took the kids some today as I’m ill. He tried to feed our son discretely a pain au chocolate whilst watching our daughter in the queue getting an ice cream and was told he wasn’t allowed to eat that there. He disclosed our son’s condition which we don’t really like doing to explain why we eating our own food and was told no he’d have to leave even though they saw our daughter in the queue ready to buy. I can not believe the amount of people giving negative reviews because they have been asked not to eat their own food on the cafe premises. They are business selling food and drink on what planet would people think it's exceptable to eat their own food. I eat there regularly and I have witnessed people being told not eat their own food and most reply with attitude and abuse. My personal experience after over 17 yrs of eating there is the food is excellent and they carn't do enough for you, drink are ace especially the coffee and latte. Ice creem is the best in the park and finally the prices are good and you leave full and with money left in your wallet Anyone reading the other reviews ignore them and make up your own mind 10...
