Tesco Cafe — Restaurant in Birmingham

I bought a breakfast on my lunch break and I waited 30 minutes for it with no update how long it would be. I went up to ask how long it would be and the lady asked me again what I ordered and said they hadn’t even started making it yet and the order was still on a post it note at the till untouched despite workers being sat down in the cafe doing f all. I asked for a refund and was told that she couldn’t put the money back on my card because her manager wasn’t there so handed me a handful of change. I recently went and purchased a double Espresso to takeaway, using my own cup as there is a discount for using your own cup. I avoid the busy lunch period, the staff are very busy and rushed off their feet.

The staff are really nice, especially manager Keri-anne, she always takes a second to say hello and if she's serving she'll ask how I'm doing. I feel she takes care in how she delivers her service and food.

Only one staff member on duty, taking orders, cooking food, bringing it out to tables and clearing tables, waited over 35 minutes for food, poor woman was doing job of 3 people, she was polite and helpful but clearly overstretched as she started to turn customers away, with such a heavy workload can't help but wonder on standard of hygiene and surely during current pandemic tables etc need...
