Wafflebox Birmingham (Aston) — Restaurant in Birmingham

I visited the Aston branch of Wafflebox as my local dessert shop hadn't opened. I was a little cautious as I'm creature of habit, and this looked new, but when I walked in I found a member of staff wiping down the surfaces, which made me feel reassured I was in a safe place. The staff inside were really welcoming, courteous and professional. They explained their menu and the ingredients they use for their recipes, they took the time to inform me of what makes them different from other dessert shops. They informed me of their opening hours, with which they are consistent. I decided to test the quality with a couple of classic milkshakes, so I chose the strawberry and chocolate flavours. I was able to journey home (which was 10 minutes away) and the drinks were still ice cold, the flavours were exceptionally good. The strawberry drink had actual fruit inside (which I prefer) and tasted very refreshing, I was able to crunch the fruit even though they were small enough to melt in my mouth. The chocolate drink was icy cold and the right amount of chocolaty texture to leave me paused in wonder of how to describe the sensation, I would buy this again. I can honestly say, it's been a long time since I've had good quality milkshakes like these, in fact, I can't remember the last time tasting such delicious and refreshing drinks. Belgium Biscoff Waffle was nice, fully topped. The ice cream was good quality 👍

Red Velvet Cookie dough ball was smaller than expected but it was also TOO SWEET! Came with same decent quality ice cream as waffle.

Strawberry shake was made with fresh strawberries. Sounds good but tasted awful. Strawberry sauce topping would've been the better option to blend.

Cookies n Cream shake was bland. They need to blend in chocolate syrup and decorate with choc sauce.

Everything was neatly packed with their own branding. Desserts came with spoons, shakes had big straws, they even have their own branded paper napkins 👍

I really hope the business does well but they need to improve...
