I went to this pub with a friend whom lives locally and would bring me to this pub when I was in the area. He has attended this pub with family and a number of other friends including someone well known to the owner. The man has seen my colleague in this pub on numerous occasions. He has often served him and myself too as I had been there with him previously. Due to me being delayed, we arrived later that we otherwise would have wished and after entering, the presumed owner looked at us both up and down and said ”YOU NEED TO LEAVE”. The attitude and tone were both negative, ignorant and quite unnecessarily harsh. Extremely disappointed in the absolute rudeness received in a pub that we both liked and was for me, my local when I was in the area. No doubt, no apology would ever be offered. A cosy fire, lots of drinks choice and really nice staff. You may even see a friendly pub cat too.
One section has a big screen for sports (even had women's rugby on!).
Another section has a coal fire and seating and music for a laid back atmosphere.
There's outdoor areas for summer and smokers.

Read moreThis pub was recommended to me, by my uncle and it is great. It can sometimes have a slightly drab atmosphere in the front, but the back garden is where the party starts😂. The vegetable korma is to die for, although it has changed a little since the the chef has changed, but all in all, the food is pretty good. When live bands play, the atmosphere is really fun and chilled. I would recommend going here with a mate... or your dad... otherwise.... you could get a little lonely. It's also a good meeting point for friends and a great place to sit down and rest in after a long walk across Birmingham.... or just to get drunk (providing that the Ale Festival is in...
