TIPU Sultan Majestic Dining exceeded all expectations during my recent visit, earning an unequivocal 5-star rating. The establishment not only boasts exceptional service but also provides a clean and exquisitely decorated setting that enhances the overall dining experience. From the moment I entered, the staff's attentiveness and professionalism stood out. They were courteous, knowledgeable about the menu, and displayed a genuine commitment to ensuring guests felt welcome. The prompt and efficient service further elevated the dining experience, making it clear that customer satisfaction is a top priority. The ambiance of TIPU Sultan Majestic Dining is nothing short of enchanting. The carefully chosen decor transports guests to a regal setting, adding a touch of sophistication to the meal. The attention to detail in the design contributes to the overall aesthetic appeal, creating a dining environment that is both visually pleasing and comfortable. What pleasantly surprised me was the tea, served with a cheery touch. It's these small gestures that set TIPU Sultan apart, showing a commitment to going above and beyond for their patrons. The tea, a delightful addition, served as the perfect conclusion to a fantastic meal. Additionally, the provision of free parking further adds to the convenience of visiting TIPU Sultan Majestic Dining. In a bustling city like Birmingham, where parking can often be a challenge, this amenity is a noteworthy advantage. In conclusion, TIPU Sultan Majestic Dining offers more than just a meal; it provides a holistic dining experience. From the impeccable service and tasteful decor to the complimentary tea and hassle-free parking, every aspect of the visit was commendable. I highly recommend this establishment to anyone seeking a memorable and elevated dining experience in Birmingham.

This was my first time eating here and it was so disappointing. The service here was terrible. The waiters seemed so much more interested to clear up tables than to serve us. Every single time we had to wave or I had to stand up in order to grab someone's attention. We all wanted Coke for drinks but they only came served in bottles which weren't even chilled. I had asked for a glass with ice too and assumed the flick of the waiter's head meant that I would be getting this. Instead we didn't get those, we only received glasses after the straws they provided kept causing the Coke to overflow. There was an option to get Pepsi in a glass with ice which was cheaper, but we didn't want Pepsi and it's bizarre that Coke is omitted as a choice. This took a while to clean up because again, service was lacking and it took us a while to get someone's attention that we needed tissues and not more straws, which is what we were presented with. The starters were good however I felt the Sultan Chops were quite bland. The coating was excessive and the meat was fair. No complaints about the chicken tikka or sheek kebabs, they tasted nice. We ordered 2 main chicken dishes and one of them turned out to be lamb. I'm not sure how they managed to get this wrong but with the lack of service and poor attention to our table, it didn't seem surprising at this point. We didn't have any issues with eating lamb so we accepted it and didn't want to waste food so we did not bring this up to anyone. Another point I wanted to mention - for a party of 3, the table we were allocated wasn't big enough for everything. There were more than a few times where I felt I could have tipped over my Coke bottle, or dropped my rice tray. This was caused by the lack of service to our table again, where the staff didn't seem to want to come over and help us clear some space for the incoming food. When they weren't serving us, all I saw them doing was clearing other tables which is strange they would prioritise those over us. The Desi Chilli Handi Chicken was a bit too dry - this didn't allow the flavours to really come out and some of the chicken pieces had some chewy cartilage which I had to spit out onto my plate. The Karahi Gosht Sultani (should have been Murgh Sultani) - this was okay as it was unexpected, however the ginger strips weren't a good idea to add - biting into one of these was as unpleasant as finding a cardamom seed in a curry. The lamb meat was soft enough that it wasn't chewy but nothing stood out to me in this dish. Finally we decided to order 2 desserts to kind of clear away the taste of the average food we had. Again, we had to grab a waiter's attention to get the dessert menu even though we've been sitting immobile for a while. It took roughly 15-20 mins for the 2x single scoops of Vanilla Dream and Lemon Sorbet to arrive. I personally had the Lemon Sorbet which was good. Overall, I would not come back to this restaurant. The service really killed my first time experience here. There were no checkups on us while we ate. The drink spillage was undoubtedly our fault but trying to communicate that we needed more tissues and glasses to pour our drinks into failed the first time when we were presented with more straws. The starter food was more enjoyable than the main dishes. We ordered 2 main dishes and one of them was the wrong one. Dessert took forever to arrive. EDIT: I reduced my rating from 2 stars to 1 star as I had food poisoning the next day which forced me to call in sick to my job. I was fine on day 3 but neither myself nor my friends and family will ever set foot in here again.

I recently revisited Tipu Sultan's Restaurant in Birmingham, eager to relive the culinary delight I experienced on my previous visit. However, I was left disappointed by the noticeable decline in food quality, particularly when it came to their desserts. While there were a few redeeming factors, the overall experience fell short of my expectations. Upon ordering the cheesecake, I was dismayed to find that it was still partially frozen. The lack of proper preparation and attention to detail was evident, resulting in a less than satisfactory dessert. The disappointment continued with the mocktails, which tasted more like cheap, diluted fruit juice rather than the refreshingly vibrant concoctions I had hoped for. Despite these setbacks, I must acknowledge that there were a few highlights. The Sultani chops and some of the starters managed to salvage my dining experience to some extent. The Sultani chops were flavorful and tender, showcasing the restaurant's potential for delivering enjoyable dishes. However, the commendable starters were not enough to compensate for the mediocrity that followed. When it came to the main courses, I found the curries lacking the wow factor that I had come to expect from Tipu Sultan's. The flavors were ordinary, without any memorable or distinct taste profiles. The dishes felt uninspired and failed to leave a lasting impression. Overall, my revisit to Tipu Sultan's Restaurant left me underwhelmed. The decline in quality, particularly evident in the poorly executed desserts and lackluster curries, was disheartening. While there were a few standout dishes, they were not enough to offset the overall mediocrity of the dining experience. I sincerely hope that Tipu Sultan's management takes note of these shortcomings and endeavors to restore the restaurant's former glory. With improvements in the dessert selection and a renewed focus on delivering exceptional flavors, Tipu Sultan's has the potential to win back disappointed customers and regain its reputation as a culinary destination. Ok, first off the food: the Seekh Kebab was decent but nothing special, the Murgh Haryali Tikka was “Highly Recomended” on the menu, and although a fun green, was perhaps a little bland? The Papri Chaat was a letdown, it was all chaat and barely any papri. The pilau rice was unremarkable and the chicken Hyderabadi Handi was nice…but that’s it. Just nice. Kind of like eating a “home curry”, (if you’re S.Asian). The Palak Murgh was very good, the spinach was distinctively flavoured in a smoky way. Now I think I’m the only one on my table who was disappointed by the Roomali Roti. From the menu description I had imagined gossamer thin layers made from a tender dough. It was tough and tasted floury to me. In fact, I don’t even know what advantage it has over the normal roti(maybe size?) but I wouldn’t order it again. The mango lassi was sweet, a little too indulgent but nice. Oh and there was also a Chana Dhaal that I quite liked, but others didn’t(not because it was bad, but it was just a run-of-the-mill daal.) The decor inside is dark and gloomy and could benefit from an update. The building is big and seats many, and maybe therein lies the problem. You have to shout your order over the din of the other customers and the waiters had to keep being prompted for a few things(were they inattentive? Could they not hear anything? Do they just not care? Who knows). There are also too many chefs in the kitchen. Literally. You could have a meal on two separate days and have two wildly different experiences. I think Tipu Sultan-at least this branch-is suffering from its success. Once big, new, and shiny, it’s now a shabby shadow of itself that has mediocre curries. Nice enough, but not exemplary. And you don’t want to pay exemplary prices for curries that are only nice enough.

I've had the pleasure of dining at Tipu Sultan Majestic Dining numerous times over the years, and each visit leaves me more impressed than the last. The restaurant boasts a diverse menu with a plethora of tantalizing dishes to choose from. One of the highlights for me has always been the exquisite curries, bursting with flavor and prepared to perfection. let's not forget about the naan breads, a true testament to the culinary expertise of the chefs, achieving the ideal balance of crispy and fluffy textures. Beyond the culinary delights, the ambience of Tipu Sultan Majestic Dining is simply enchanting. The decor and furniture exude a timeless elegance, creating an atmosphere that feels both sophisticated and inviting. But what truly sets this establishment apart is the exceptional service. From the moment you step through the doors, you're greeted with warmth and professionalism, ensuring that every aspect of your dining experience is nothing short of first class. Furthermore, the spaciousness of the area adds to the overall comfort, allowing guests to enjoy their meals in a relaxed and unhurried manner. In summary, Tipu Sultan Majestic Dining is a culinary haven where impeccable food, elegant ambience, and top notch service merge to create an unforgettable dining experience. Whether you're a regular or visiting for the first time, prepare to be impressed.

The venue is beautiful. That's about it really. For what you pay, there are eateries that serve better food and drink. The strap line: Majestic Dining Experience, is a misnomer. There's no dress code and the way food and drink is presented is like a cheap balti house. The images you can see are of a Royal Chaunsa, which is basically a £5 glass of mango juice. The food dish is a sharing platter, which at £26, had perhaps just enough food on it, but salad for one. The chops were mediocre and despite asking for everything to be medium/mild, the wings were way too spicy. The tikka was dry and only the sheek kebabs were done well. Service is a 3 because our warmed plates were stone cold by the time our food arrived. Plates should arrive with the food. Drink straws were in paper sleeves synonymous with McDonald's and whilst a hot towel was offered post meal, it was literally served from a packet. Atmosphere is a 1 because they allow anyone dressed like anything to come in. Where's the standard? Screaming kids and people just being too loud. Have the owners ever been to a posh restaurant I wonder? In short, you feel more like you're paying their rent, because it is a nice venue. Service and delivery need much improvement. Menu is also quite limited. Cheap balti restaurants have more extensive menus.
