Visited here on Saturday for late breakfast and really glad I did! Once you head up the stairs you are transported into the themed café area with a range of motorcycle memorabilia presented well on the walls. The interior is very nice! A good layout the suits all occasions whether being for food, drinks or as a music venue from what I could see. It also offers a great view of the green next to the windows.
I decided to go for the Big Mann Breakfast as I was hungry, and it did not disappoint! The breakfast was cooked very well, and you could tell they use good quality ingredients here which justifies the cost of £14.95, however there are smaller breakfasts also if you’re not up to the challenge! The black and white pudding was the best I’ve had on a breakfast in a long time! I struggled to finish but just about managed it. The breakfast also comes with either and orange or apple juice. The only thing I would say is to have the option of either smoked or un-smoked bacon, only as I never usually have smoked bacon on a breakfast or see it anywhere else, but this is a good thing! Many people have their own tastes but I guess it would be nice to have the choice.
My partner had the salmon beagle, and she was very happy with this choice. There was plenty of salmon on the beagle and she had a lovely looking latte to go with it.
All in all, we were very impressed and really enjoyed our chilled out late breakfast here. You can tell the place is thriving with many regulars attending, creating a social meet in a lovely area as well as their high standards.
A shout out to all the staff, who all were very friendly and easy to have a chat too, also thanks to the chef for such a lovely breakfast. We shall definitely...
Read moreChas Mann motorcycle shop has been on Kings Norton Green for years , it's not far from me but don't get over there very often , and we didn't know about the cafe/bar upstairs . It's cracking ! You walk through a really cool motorcycle shop , and go upstairs ( there is diabled access) and find this really quirky bar /cafe . It's broken into separate rooms , with areas of exposed brick , nice flooring , nice lighting , nice seating and tables , and ace pics and memorabilia on the wall . It was all decorated for Xmas on our 1st visit , it was a bit of a Narnia experience .Coming through the bike shop and finding this upstairs , it felt really Christmassy . The staff are all super friendly and helpful , they seem proud of the place , and there was a lovely soundtrack in the background . The counter has a big Italian coffee machine , and draught beer . It was morning we had two large cups of piping hot Cappuccino , and french toast with crispy bacon, it was delicious . During the day until 2pm they serve what i would call high cafe food , with a few lunch time specials thrown in .They seem to use good produce and good quality ground coffee . In the afternoon after 2pm , it serves coffee and beers and is a good place to hang , in the evening it becomes a night time venue . A friend tells me the cocktails are really good, and they have live music events some evenings . We've been back for coffee since our first visit , and will definitely return in the new year . The toilets were spotless , and it has a 5* health rating . Really enjoyed the place a definite...
Read moreLooking for adventure? Head to The Mann Cave.
There are places you have to experience in your life time. This is one of them. The Mann Cave is eye candy. You do not need to be a motorcycle enthusiast to appreciate it. It subscribes to the idea of a large number of small touches makes a big difference. It is wall to wall motorcycle memorabilia, especially in the cafe upstairs. The cafe consists of 3 interlinking rooms. Each room is comfortable, unique and emblazoned with motorcycle art works. The service is accurate and humble. The Mann Cave’s food and drink is by no means artisanal. It is made from quality produce. Value for money. I must tip my flat cap to them for choosing a locally roasted New Era coffee. An excellent choice of...
