This used to be a great little regular, however since this establishments new code of conduct is to employ childish little girls I will not be returning ever!
First off by saying this is not an isolated incident, there has been several instances when I have walked into this pub and met with demeaning behaviour and expressions both at the bar and in the smoking area. I do not expect to walk into a pub and be greeted with such ignominy when I am a customer spending my money - well I will be taking my custom elsewhere where hospitality levels are not mediocre and not made to feel so uncomfortable. There are young people struggling and would be extremely grateful to have the opportunity to be front of house, but instead you have choose to employ immature children who thinks itâs acceptable to mock and laugh at their customers when they walk in. I have spoken to some other regulars and they whole heartedly agree with this also.
I will be putting in a formal complaint and should i deem the response as unsatisfactory then l will escalate this higher up the food chain. These instigators need reprimanding and should be in fact shown the door if their attitude is distasteful as it is!
So to sum this up, excellent stance on putting pay to your reputation by letting these diminutive individuals serve customers⌠( oh with a dose of ridiculing to go with...
Read moreAfter having a lovely family meal at the Plough ( fantastic food and staff) celebrating my husbands 50th Birthday our party who are all musicians decided to have a walk up to the white horse where we had been told have live music, on entering the pub we were all really impressed with the choice of ale and atmosphere the pub offered. After ordering our large round one of the party spotted what looked like a milk carton on the bar on picking it up realised it was a "take out" carton , non of us had seen such a thing before ( maybe we need to get out more) however before we had chance to comment on this marvellous invention it was snatched off him by a blond haired member of the bar staff, telling him it was someone's drink!
This totally changed the atmosphere within the group, we had intended in staying for the night however decided to drink up and move on, shame as the band were just our kind of thing,
We are born and bred Black-country, I hope the choice of staff at the new pub will be different as I can assure you this sort of behaviour would not be tolerated! We...
Read moreIf you could remove the appalling attitude of the staff you would have a great pub. I'm guessing that because the pub is full at weekends and busier than many pubs during the week there is no need to try. I was insulted twice in one night and I only bought two rounds of drinks. The first when I asked ( quite reasonably) for a top up when there was only 80% was beer in my pint - the second when I complained about a beer I was served that must have been sat in the pipes so long as to be completely unrecognisable from what was advertised. This was a first for me in almost 30 years of drinking and completely uncalled for. Yes the prices are keen for Harborne and it does have the kudos of being a regular in the GBG 2019 - but for how much longer. With appalling customer service and inconsistent others will follow suit and gradually move onto to other pubs leaving only the White Horse to blame for it's own downfall. I suspect the owners are disconnected from the reality outlined above and would well to step in and improve what was a fantastic pub before...
