Massive thank you to the new owners Becky & Phil who took over just a few weeks ago. We were let down by the previous owners after booking a christening and weren’t aware they had moved on. I popped into the Bluebell to check what was happening and I was greeted by the lovely Becky who notified me that herself and Phil had taken over and if there was anyway she could help. With only two weeks notice Becky did an amazing job of getting the pubs side room ready for our son’s christening and we couldn’t be anymore grateful with a turn out of 75 on the day! We did provide our own catering but the space was perfect and the sun even came out so we could enjoy the outside area with the lovely views. We will be back in as a family very soon, the pub space itself is cosy with a friendly atmosphere. Thanks again Becky & Phil. The Drews x

Nice old school beamed boozer. Decent ambience. No ales on, not sure if they have moved away from this as I believe it used to have a great reputation for real ale. Would be a shame if this is so and let’s hope it was temporary. The beer was cold from the fridge. Had some pork scratchings to go with it and admired the cracking view out the back. Woman behind the bar was lovely. Friendly and helpful. Recommended for the view alone. 🌞 🍻

Booked here for my daughter's christening party The staff here are lovely and friendly super helpful great people. The venue is what you get from an old pub but is a lovely space the outside has the most amazing view as well. The food buffet was good just could of done with a salad or fresh veg or fruit options but it hit the spot for my guests. The atmosphere was lovely here and I would definitely recommend coming here for a drink

This is a typical working man/women’s pub that offers a typical menu. The food was fantastic value for money, I had a really good mixed grill and my wife had a pie and chips, the pie must have been home made or locally made, it certainly didn’t look or taste factory made, both meals were served with home made chips that tasted just like the ones my mum used to make in her old chip pan, they were fantastic. We had phoned ahead and the landlady allowed us to park our camper van overnight in the pub car park, this had the most fantastic view. I would definitely recommend the Bluebell in for its pub grub and the small pub...

It's always been a nice pub where you can if you like take you little ones. It's got great views looking over the valley in good daylight and benches to sit at. There's parking but not much so if it's busy you may have to park on the road. Sunday dinners have always been lovely there and always get plenty, though I must say I've not had one since the new owners have taken over but I've been told there just as good as before. The pub isn't huge and there are very low ceilings with it being an old building of bolsover (which gives it character) but if there's a busy Sunday or an event on it other room it does get full...
