Cavendish — Restaurant in Bolsover

Really disappointed, we went on the bank holiday Monday afternoon and admittedly it was busy but when we placed our food order we were not told about any wait for food or anything. From here things went downhill, I ordered a Coke Zero and when it arrived it tasted like sparkling water, there was no flavour to it at all, they then replaced it but it took them about 10 minutes. We ordered 2 coke zeros, a fosters and a tea. Everything but the tea came out and it took about 15 minutes for the tea to actually come to the table. we ended up waiting for about an hour for 2 wraps, a burger and side of chips. When the food arrived the burger tasted and felt as if it was cooked in the microwave, the side of dirty chips that came out where absolutely caked in bbq sauce which made them almost un edible and the chicken wrap had 95% lettuce and 5% chicken in it. Definitely not worth the almost £60 that was paid for 4 lunchtime meals and 4 drinks! Do...

Welcomed with a smile as soon as I walked in. Ordered a pizza off the dedicated pizza menu and it’s was AMAZING. The mega meaty I think it was called. I asked about it and girl said the landlord makes his own doe to his own recipe and it showed. Topped with LOTS of toppings. Just awesome. I’ll be back to try the main menu soon. Lovely pub with a comfortable friendly atmosphere and lovely staff. Oh, had a pint of Morretti and they clearly keep their lines clean regularly too. It was a fresh tasting pint. Just what I needed in this hot weather. It’s right on the high street opposite the bus stop so you can’t miss it. Well worth a visit. Oh footnote. I’ve picked parking below. Although they don’t have a carpark they are RIGHT next door to Morrisons with no parking time restrictions....

Love this place and can't believe how much it has changed, we went for the Sunday dinner and it was top notch; very good portion with pudding included and great value for money. Very clean and tidy, lovely atmosphere and great staff, Donna, Kira and Lily were brilliant, we were served quickly and staff checked we were enjoying our meal and if we needed anything else. The atmosphere speaks for its self, very busy and plenty of people enjoying their meals.

I'd highly recommend the Cavendish and will be back again, hopefully we will try the fresh made pizza and ice cream next time but we were just too full after our meals.
