My daughter had the chicken tikka masala the only thing she mentioned that the chicken was a little dry and stringymy son had fully loaded chicken strips he cleared the plate so quickly and he said definitely have that again, I had the curry chicken skewers fantastic flavours crispy moist chicken and plenty of curry sauce fantastic value for money we was all full and satisfied didn't need deserts, the cakes are all shown in a inviting cabinet so is the ice cream, all in all think a return visit would be in order, their are plenty of choices on the menus and a good selection vegetarian food well done superb meal

Absolutely ruined Christmas ! Table wasn’t ready at the designated time, had us waiting 45mins in the rammed bar area in everybody’s way and 2 young children complaining they were hungry. Finally got us a table which they hadn’t even bothered to dress in the furthest corner away, nothing about the area screamed out Xmas it was just like a normal busy Sunday, we didn’t even have cutlery when the kids starters arrived. After complaining they finally came over with cutlery and the girl was handing it all to me one by one to set the table myself by which time the adult starters arrived and was dumped on the table next to us for us to have to get ourselves once we’d set the table. By the time the children’s main meals came (1.5hrs in ) the carvery queue was horrific and at least 20 mins wait time,we was expected to leave the kids eating alone whilst we queued for our own. This was totally unacceptable and not the way we wanted to spend Xmas, it certainly wasn’t £170 standards, I sat at the table crying waiting for the children to eat their mains whilst my other half demanded a refund to which they came with a gift voucher- I don’t think so,I’ll never step foot in a farmhouse inn again after this experience so we all got up and left, I took the children to the car whilst the other half finally got a full refund on his card ,thanks to pine tree Xmas was ruined and we had no Xmas dinner and a full refund. Anyone that books here for Xmas don’t say I didn’t warn you ! We booked last year and it was a fab experience this year it had gone to the pits !

Took our family here for our sons 9th birthday meal, got the Farmhouse chicken tikka, first time it came out it was just water with chicken & oil by the looks of it and it also had a hair in it. Sent it back and the fresh was was better but the chicken was hard chunks & chewy so also didn’t eat that. The naan bread was slightly over cooked and had a hair on that too. My partner got the Chicken Combo with the chicken breast and it was a most like it was microwaved, it was disgusting, it was covered in water, skin was really tough & it was hard. Chicken breast should be falling apart not hard. My daughter had the chicken burger meal for kids & the bun was just burnt. My 2 sons & mum has the carvery and they didn’t eat much of it atall. All in all the food was absolutely terrible. We used to love this place but it’s fine massively downhill the past few months. We had a waiter ask us if we was enjoying our food and when we said no his response was “oh sorry about that” and left the table. We ate what was edible. We decided to go to the bar & complain, we spoken to the team leader who was incredibly helpful! He apologised, sorted us a full refund & offered us a slice of free cake! Very good customer service from him & the assisting manager! Unfortunately don’t think we will be returning here anymore which is such a massive shame as we’ve used this restaurant for years now.

Me and my family came here Sunday for what I thought was going to be a nice meal, we have been plenty of times before for breakfast and meal times and usually they’re great. After tonight I don’t think we will be back, we ordered two kids meals and two adult meals and had to complain twice and both issues were still unsolved and then they just avoided our table after. Kids meals we ordered were chicken nuggets chips and peas and sausage chips and peas in which the sausages came out burnt, I complained when they put it onto the table and they replied that that’s how the sausages comes… if you have been to pine tree for breakfast you would know they do not come like that. Adult meals ordered was two mixed grills with a few extras and sides also, when the mixed grills came out we noticed then that they didn’t put our sausages on there, we then had to track someone to say we didn’t get them on our mix grills and then when they come out with 2 sausages I asked ‘can you see a difference in these sausages’ the reply was ‘they said they’re different sausages’ We did then end up giving our daughter the new un burnt sausages so she could have a full meal but still I felt they didn’t put the sausages on our plate in the first place after burning the first ones. I did taste it and it did Infact taste as burnt as it looks… Picture as you can see by the picture.

I have visited this place on many occasions but I think today was the last time. To be fair the prices were very competitive. Breakfast included tea and coffee. There was also a choice of plate size. You could only visit the breakfast buffet once. That has all changed. There is only one plate size available at £6.99 but this does not include drinks. 'Bottomless' drinks and toast. This is an additional cost of £1.99. So a breakfast actually costs £8.98. We all know that prices for food, electricity and gas have gone up so a rise in price of breakfast isn't such a surprise. Unfortunately the rise in cost has gone hand in hand with a reduction in quality. I was with two friends who were unable to eat their breakfast due to quality and the temperature of the food. The drink described as 'coffee's is almost undrinkable. It would be much better used as ink! The staff are still as friendly and helpful as before, no complaint there but this will be my last review of this eating place as I wont return. RIP me off once and that's their fault. RIP me off twice would be my fault! Never again.

Overall a really nice experience of a farmhouse inn. Originally wanted the carvery as it is a Sunday but the mushy peas looked powdery, meat dry under the lamps and the potatoes could have passed for coal they were so black however after choosing to have the hunters chicken we had lovely meals. Ordering on the app is super easy and the food served quickly. The plates were unfortunately left for around 25 minutes after we finished which allowed time for the food to settle but equally highlighted the fact that the staff were just very absent from the area and tables without customers were left looking very untidy and unclean which one could argue isnt the nicest environment. We ordered the cookie sundae and brownie (kids portion was sufficiently large enough) for dessert and both were very sweet and tasty. Overall it delivered where it needed to but there were plenty of areas where it could be argued improvement is needed.
