Disappointing Experience – Won’t Be Returning!
We booked a table specifically for the 50% off steak deal, but from the moment we arrived, things started going downhill.
As we walked in, we requested to be seated in one of the available booths, only to be told they were reserved—yet throughout our 1.5-hour visit, no one occupied them. Instead, we were crammed into a tight corner next to other guests.
When it came time to order, we were informed that only the steak itself was discounted, and sides had to be purchased separately—even though the menu clearly listed the price as including both a side and sauce. This felt misleading, as the price reduction should have been applied to the entire dish.
We ordered two ribeye steaks and one 16oz T-bone, all with creamy peppercorn sauce and steak chips. We asked for our steaks medium-well.
Then came another surprise—we were told it was cash only. In this day and age, that’s beyond inconvenient and should have been made clear when booking.
When the food arrived, one of the ribeyes was almost completely raw—pink and bleeding. It had to be sent back to be re-cooked, leaving one of us waiting while everyone else ate. Thankfully, this was corrected, but the delay was frustrating.
Throughout our meal, not a single staff member checked in to see if everything was okay.
At the end, I called the waiter over and showed him my T-bone steak, which was practically raw. I had eaten only the parts that were properly cooked. A photo proves just how undercooked it was. Initially, I was told it would be replaced, but then the waiter returned to say they couldn’t replace it after all. The inconsistency was frustrating, and in the end, I had to take my steak home to cook it myself!
When I questioned this, I was told that because the steak was already 50% off, they couldn’t discount it further. My response? A discount shouldn’t mean 50% less effort, 50% less quality, or lower standards.
The worst part? The manager never came over to address the issue. Instead, they hid in the background while the poor waiter had to take all the heat. Extremely unprofessional!
By the time we left, those so-called reserved booths were still empty, making it clear that we had been misled from the start.
Overall, a terrible experience. The poor service, misleading pricing, lack of professionalism, and badly cooked food mean we will not be returning.

Staff was too busy talking to other co workers and having a good time with them haha, like i understand it because i have worked in food industry in past and its nice to do that but customers shouldn't suffer from it. Was calling waiter for over 5 minutes while they was having a full on chat in the back till eventually one of them heard us. This isn't how it should be bros. This is the first time in years we didn't leave any tip, the service was non existant.
Second reason for another star down is im allergic to jalapenos, we made this aware to the waiter and he said our burgers don't have jalapenos in them anyways. But its a good thing i checked before eating they were packed with jalapenos. Please check the picture added for proof. The other thing is the burger had no substance it was just full of chilly sauce. There was no nice taste to any of it and put really spicy sauce on it ruins the taste of anything. Please sort that out.
The next problem was the glasses and cutlery was dirty. It seemed everything that could have gone wrong that day did. Maybe because staff was too busy having a good time to care about work or customers, please sort this out, as i run a successful food blog with over 100k followers this will be very sad for me to have to post this review but it is what it is.
The lamb chops were amazing though i do gotta say, prices were not too bad either, i just wish you sort out your staffing issues and hygeine, and also make sure you take out stuff people are allergic too as stated as that would have been the worlds easiest lawsuit had i not checked burger...

While I have been loyal to this place since its inception, I must admit that I have observed a decline in its standards, particularly at the Bolton branch.
Regrettably, I have noticed a decrease in the sizes of both the Lamb Chops and Steaks over time.
Additionally, when the main chef is absent, it appears that the other staff members lack the necessary expertise to properly cook a steak. Despite repeatedly ordering a medium-cooked steak, it consistently arrives well-done, which is disappointing.
Moreover, I find it disheartening that even after several years of operation, the Bolton branch still does not have a card machine. This has resulted in the inconvenience of customers having to visit the ATM after their meal or having to bank transfer which detracts from the overall dining experience.
Furthermore, it appears that the small touches that were once offered by this establishment have disappeared, leaving the impression that the Bolton crowd is no longer valued or prioritised. It seems that the management is preoccupied with promoting their Rochdale branch on social media platforms, seemingly neglecting the needs and expectations of the Bolton branch's clientele.
Despite my disappointment with the decline in standards at this location, I have decided to award them four stars out of appreciation for the good times. I genuinely hope that they can reevaluate and improve upon the shortcomings, as I believe there is potential for...
