La Piazzetta — Restaurant in Borough of Runnymede

A friend and I thought we'd try this restaurant. We turned up without a booking and asked if they had a table for 2. We were shown to a table near the window. We placed our order and were just about to enjoy our drinks when the owner / manager (a very rude man) came up to us and asked if we'd booked. We said no and were then asked to leave the restaurant. This is the worst customer experience we have ever had the misfortune of experiencing. There was no apology or offer of a voucher for a future meal. We were made to feel like we were at fault (when we were not). We cannot comment on the food but purely due to the disgusting way we were treated, I would not recommend supporting this restaurant where staff behave in such an appalling manner. Go to Villa Rosa in Egham instead where the food is amazing and the staff warm, friendly...

My friend and I thought we would support a local business to have our dinner, but sadly we were left embarrassed after being asked to leave after already being there 10 minutes or more. We had received our drinks order and put in our meal order and were settling in to enjoy a pleasant evening. When we arrived at the restaurant, we were not asked if we had a booking. We simply asked if there was a table for two, to which we were shown one by the waitress. A couple arrived and said they had a booking and that's when we where asked by the manager if we had a booking. We said no and then he got rude with us and told us he needs the table. It was extremely embarrassing for us and very unprofessional of the manager/owner. I will not be trying to go...

We visiting for our staff christmas meal, and despite having a small restaurant and us being a group of 13, the staff made every accommodation!

The food was divine, served piping hot fresh from the oven, and the service impeccable! Nothing was too much trouble for the serving staff.

We were particularly impressed at how well they catered to dietary requirements, having a whole separate menu and having GF dough & pasta and dairy free cream for sauces!

Thank you so much for being such wonderful hosts and helping 13 tired retail workers relax and celebrate together. We'll definitely be back...
