SINO Chinese Fine Dining — Restaurant in Borough of Runnymede

Food was good. All dishes reasonably nicely prepared and quite tasty.

Decor shoddy, poorly finished, cheap looking.

The service however started mediocre when we were the only ones there, and deteriorated rapidly as more diners arrived. Wrong dishes served, drinks spilled, just a general feeling that the team were not well trained or working as a team. By the end of our meal it was dreadful, had to ask for the table to be cleared 4 times. The manager has replied with a weak excuse, which is untrue, we made it clear that we had finished and wanted the table to be cleared.

Despite this they had the gall to automatically add 42 Pounds for service charge, which was an absolute pisstake. The total of 386 Pounds for 6 adults represented very poor value at over 64 Pounds a head. At no point were we advised about the service charge, it was simply added to the bill and nobody mentioned it. I would like it to be refunded!

Everybody in our party agreed that we had far better experiences under the previous owners, we will certainly not return whilst the current regime is in place unless they make some serious changes.

The manager made another excuse about the team being new - that is why they should be properly trained before opening, and supervised adequately when operational. Clearly...

I don’t like to leave a bad review, but unfortunately my wife and I had a very bad experience for our first time here (I’m sure it’s not always like this as it’s a restaurant we were recommended). The restaurant did not seem super super busy on the night, as there were a few empty tables. I would like to add that the food was nice, and it is the service which ruined our experience totally.

We were seated for our booking at 18:30 and our drink order which we placed at the time of seating didn’t arrive for 30-45 mins (one coke and a water).

Our food order was taken around 1 hour after seating (no one would come over to us), and we did not receive all of our mains until 20:45ish (2 hours and 15 mins after our seating)

This meal was booked for my wife’s birthday and a note was left on the booking, and unfortunately no one took notice. The table opposite us were offered a free dessert as their service was poor also, but we weren’t offered anything at all. The lady at the restaurant did apologise when we were leaving, but unfortunately with a ‘fine dining’ experience, a small token such as a drink would...

Went here with some friends and was disappointed generally (won't be back).

The place looks nice and was certainly busy but I won't be returning. The food was very bland and I couldn't taste any depth of flavour. I asked for chilli oil and it was clearly re-used chilli seeds with some neutral oil and wasn't spicy at all (very much recycled). The drinks and food arrived very late and we had to continually ask about our drinks without them then arriving. We later learned there was a staffing issue but this information was never disclosed before ordering or being seated. A member at our table has some mobility issues and we were mortified to find out that their toilets were on the first floor and only accessible by stairs. This is a recently refurbished restaurant and I was speechless that they had this kind of setup for accessibility facilities. Considering the steep price, poor service and bland food, I cannot...
