Read moreI've gone past this particular cafe quite a few occasions when visiting Staines and today was my 1st time visiting. I may be exaggerating but when i ordered my coffee, i could feel the enthusiasm coming from the barista/owner of the shop when he was offering the different blends associated with my coffee choice. One of the many great things about an independant coffee shop is the passion that someone has for the quality of the coffee. Something that commercial coffee shops such as starbucks/costas is lacking to some degree. The atmosphere inside was tranquil and felt personal unlike alot of the busier coffee shops where it can tend to become quite overwhelming at times from the amount of noise generated from all the talking. When i entered, one of the regulars was sitting inside having a nice conversation with the staff. I had ordered a flat white as that is my personal coffee beverage of choice when entering a cafe and with it, a nice flatjack. There were slices of banana bread also but i wasn't sure how long i was going to stay so decided not to. When i went to pay, the owner was nice enough to ask about my experience with the coffee and in my opinion it was a good flat white. Could not fault it. A more experienced coffee taster would probably have more to say in terms of quality. Overall, a nice experience and look forward to...
Read moreToday, I had my very first visit at this brilliant cafe, but definitely not the last. I was charmed since arrival by the warm welcome and cheerful smiles from the staff. The location is decorated to offer both the peace required to be able to concentrate on completing important tasks and also confer a fantastic energy for a family and friends gathering. But these are not the only aspects that fascinated me about the place. Coffee, there, is not served as a simple drink which many companies tend to present it as. This cafe transforms coffee into a poetic experience, the staff kindly enlighten the customers with the history of each kind of coffee served as well as with the techniques used to prepare them. I am always hard to impress, especially when it comes to coffee. Yet, I have tried today at least three different kinds of coffee to realise that I have never tasted such a delicious cup of coffee. I cannot recommend you enough this place! P.S. My favourite kind is the Rwanda coffee with a...
