MOC Vietnamese Cuisine — Restaurant in Borough of Spelthorne

I spent a 39£ meal here, it was not an expensive one but the service asolutely disappointed me. Late opening time : We arrived at 11:30 am as we checked the opening time was 11:30 am on google apps, however the restaurant did not open until 12 am. Welcome attitude: We were happy to wait but once we got in, a male waiter did not seem to show a welcome attitude toward the clients, he did not even say hi, hello or sort of until we said something. Late food delivering : we were the first one in the restaurant and the only two, we finished our order for roughly 10 minutes and they decided to deliver the food for the next walk in client, and we waited 20 minutes after to be served our first dish. noticely no water offer or even drinking menu. Food suggesting : I’ve been having the Vietnamese pancake for my whole life and it would come with rice paper which would make it much easier to wrap everything up. I was asking the waiter but he replied no rice paper included which was fine, I would happy to buy some if he would have suggested as everything just dropped down on the table when we wrapped it up by the...

Came for dinner just after recently opening. Decor is nice and open but it went downhill from there. I have sympathy for new business pains but I think it has some fundamental areas for improvement.

Minor things included paper menus feeling cheap (but I'm aware it's new and might improve later), no drinks menu and being told to "look at the fridges for what they had", and water was difficult to get (recommend asking for ice if you want it cold). The food then came out at random times without any warning so that was a bit of a surprise and not ideal. I ordered the chicken Phô and it was very bland, like watered down soup with chicken, noodles, and onion so very pale looking. Wife ordered chicken ramen which she liked. The spring rolls are very good too. Overall, service was thin as our plates never got cleared and we weren't ever asked for more drinks. Some of these pains I can let go for newly opening but others I cannot. I'll wait a few months to see if these improve from other reviews. Happy to review again when...

The young boy who served us was awful and unprofessional. He kept asking us to repeat what we order and then I saw him multiple times looking out of the restaurant at a group of girls and being distracted. He then got us to order our food on the machine. After, he came back and said that he managed to wipe out half of our order on the machine! I then told him to get someone else to take our order as he was clearly distracted by the group of girls he was trying to impress!

Following this, I saw his friend come in and hang out at the bar with him while the young female waitress was working hard.

I then overheard him take the order from the table behind us with an Asian couple. This waiter turned to the young female waitress and said "I don't understand/speak their language." The couple was actually speaking English! This is beyond disrespectful and the couple was clearly shocked.
