The Mexicanos — Restaurant in Borough of Spelthorne

We booked here for our New Years Party and we couldn’t have asked for a better evening/night/new year! From the moment we walked in to the moment we stumbled out the DJ was playing just the best mix of music to cater for everyone! Really really good vibes!

The restaurant itself is beautiful, spacious and decorated to really give a feel as if you were dining in an authentic Mexican restaurant, I really liked it!

We ordered our food (Birria Tacos & loaded fries) and honestly this was the best tasting Mexican food I’ve tried in a very very long time! Not only were both dishes exceptionally flavored, piping hot & presented well, but the service, despite it being a busy new years, was amazing! I genuinely cannot wait to come back to try more food from the menu! Those birria tacos were honestly something else! Wow!

To top it all off, the huge impressively stocked bar kept us perfectly ‘merry’ the whole night!

We could not have asked for a better night at The Mexicano’s, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, amazing people! The food was honestly 10/10, the drinks were delicious and the atmosphere in there was just jumping all night. 10/10 all round. What an amazing restaurant, we will DEFINITELY be returning soon. Hats off to you all!

Really lovely celebration meal here tonight. We'd called ahead as we had a vegan in our party, and whilst there were lots of vegetarian options on the menu, there was nothing obviously vegan. We called ahead and spoke to Abdul, who was absolutely lovely and was confident they could make some adaptions. When we arrived and were seated at the restaurant, Nabeela approached us to let us know they had gone out and got some vegan cheese, so anything that had cheese on the menu could be adapted authentically Amazing service! Not many restaurants would go out of their way to that degree. The food was amazing, cocktails were great, and service couldn't have been better. We'd also mentioned on the phone that it was our daughter's 18th at end the end of the night Nabeela brought over a small Birthday cake (we hadn't prearranged this) and sang to our daughter.

This restaurant has a real family feel to it. It's a hidden gem in the area, and we'll definitely be back. Thank you all for taking such good care of us and giving us a fantastic meal and...

One of the loveliest restaurants my best friend and I have been to. How grateful are we to have HALAL AUTHENTIC Mexican food so close by, and also for it to be from a family run business? Growing up you would often hear about Mexican food on television (Disney etc) and as a British kid I’d always dream of trying it all! So trying the Mexicanos almost felt like a full circle moment for us. Whilst we’ve had Mexican food here and there in London, The Mexicanos is by far superior. Even the interior feels like an authentic family restaurant (we were so excited by it!!!), and the staff are just so kind and attentive. It has such a lovely gentle atmosphere, and the food is INCREDIBLE. It is all completely fresh, with minimal oil and grease and maximum flavour. I love when you can taste the care in the food, and so this has definitely become a regular spot. Also really really kindly priced, with perfect portions.
