Bg's cafe & Restaurant — Restaurant in Borough of Swale

Pleasantly suprised from my visits. Excellent food worthy of any restaurant.

First the slightly less good, the 'facilities' (WC) are basic, unheated and you have to go outdoors - but they were clean and well maintained.

The outside looks like a typical local cafe/ greasy spoon, and while they do seem to have those items in popular demand I thought I would step outside the appearance when I saw smashed avocado and poached egg on the menu.

The avocado was perfect in consistancy and the poached egg was cooked as well as any I have had at double the price. The proportions of side to main was just about perfect.

On my return trip I stepped even further and risked the Egg Royal, the smoked salmon was plentiful and fresh, the poached eggs were once again perfect and the hollandaise sauce was delicately flavoured and pleasantly warmed.

All in all I will be coming back here anytime I need to visit the town, food is excellent, service is prompt, pleasant, and not intrusive. Prices are low for the quality...

Ridiculous service today from the people packing your orders! Coffees weren't put separately in another bag, just balanced over the food, causing the food to be completely inedible by the time it reached us! To top it all off, the bag then split due to all the spilt coffee and all the food and the coffee ended up busted all over the floor! Considering we spent upwards of £40 for our breakfast that we may not even be able to get a refund for, bit of a joke don't you think?!? Not...

The restaurant is a very lovely place. there are plenty of places to sit inside and outside for the warmer weather. the staff are very lovely and take the time to chat and make you feel welcome. The food is very delicious and up to high standards with many choices of breakfast, lunches, deserts and even dinners.Many drinks to choose from hot and cold. The cafe even grows a selection of their own vegetables in the garden at summer time. Very lovely place will be...
