I don’t usually get desserts but I thought I’d try this place out because I’ve watched this guys videos. Matilda cake was horrible. The chocolate syrup on it was pretty much warm chocolate water. The cake just tasted like some really cheap store bought placed in a microwave, but slightly worse even maybe a bit burnt. I’ve tasted better from Asda. Also mr munchbox was sitting at the front and had a bit of a face on, he didn’t bother greeting back. Thinks he’s some a list celebrity now. The young guy who served us was nice and friendly though. Edit to his reply: Firstly, just because I don’t eat desserts everyday like you doesn’t mean I don’t eat them at all. I’ve had desserts including Matilda cakes from places that claim freshly made, yours was by far the worst. Also, me saying I prefer a stale processed cake from Asda is saying a lot. Secondly, I did greet you and you just looked at me then looked away. You were on your phone watching tiktoks. Let’s face it, your business would be dead without the fans from social media. It wouldn’t be alive just with the food alone, we both know this.

I was actually craving a Matilda cake. Got my partner to pick one up for me and it’s the worse cake I have ever tasted. As soon as I opened the box the sauce was runny and looked watery. I took a bite of it and it tasted old and flourey. Out of courtesy did decide to ring them up and tell them and I was told the cake is fine. When I said I have had cakes from different places including cakes couture the lady was like ours is different to hers and chocolate sauce is runny. The cake actually was awful and I would not be visiting here again. She offered to take my number and next time I come if there is an issue with the cake they will give me another one. I am actually really disappointed with this and have learnt my lesson not to jump on social media bandwagon. I’m not the only one with a negative review, check the reviews for their other shop in BD8.

I'm a big fan of BeardedBakers so I was excited to try the new branch after seeing it online. The drive-thru concept here wasn't very clear and was confusing, we joined the back of the queue and hoped for the best. There was quite a wait for our order to be taken and then another long wait for the food to come. I expected much quicker for drive-thru. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I tried the new sticky toffee pudding which was freshly baked and a big portion. Also tried the milkshakes which were lovely too. The brownies were really disappointing, quite dry and dense. The cheesecake is the best in Bradford. I will probably stick to BD8 going forward as it's quicker and way more efficient.
