Brooks Sri Lankan Tapas — Restaurant in Bradford

Came back in September 2025. Surprise was the mackerel and potatoes stuffed in crumbs which is kind of like a scotch egg but without eggs. The sea bass was a small portion though. Overall, we still live the food and service is great. We ordered four dishes and beer each, cost about £51 in total. Back in 2024: First time we giving a restaurant five stars for food, service and atmosphere. This place changed my perception of Sri Lanka food as my ignorant self thought was only thick curry similar to Indian. The food is top notch, refreshing curry that I finished every drop of, huge hake mallum is just something extraordinary which I've never tasted before. Must order the mallum and king prawn curry. Even the side dish of rice is so soft and fluffy, I am going to ask them where I can get the rice. Service is attentive and friendly, and seating is comfortable, great interior design. All I can say is wow. I am so glad we tried this gorgeous little gem. I have 2 young typical boys and worried how they boys would be in such a lovely looking restaurant but it is such a great place for families. The kids meals are such good quality food and my eldest even enjoyed trying all the tapas dishes we ordered. I can't fault the food at all, every single dish was gorgeous but I would especially recommend the tuna, it was the best tuna I have ever had. We had 3 tapas dishes and a side each and I would say that was perfect for us. All the staff were so welcoming and on the ball, nothing was too much trouble. The toilets were lovely and clean, which I think is always very telling of a restaurant. We had a fantastic meal at this restaurant with some absolutely amazing tasting food. The chilli potatoes are a little too hot for my liking but certainly worth a try.

The vegetarian selections are varied and you won’t go hungry. Try the green curry or the lentil lettuce tacos. Both equally delicious.

There’s only one lager on tap but a few bottled options including non-alcoholic.
