Chunkys — Restaurant in Bradford

Please take your time to read this before you order. I ordered at around 7pm and it arrived perfectly at 8pm as stated, when I got a phone call from the delivery driver he told me that he'd been knocking on the door for 5 minutes, very rudely. I then collected the food and paid him. (HERE IS THE BIT WHERE I WENT WRONG, ALWAYS CHECK YOUR ORDER BEFORE PAYING THE DELIVERY DRIVER) as I was saying I got the food sat down with my family, and I had ordered 1× 6 chicken wings meal, 1× volcano burger meal and 1× 12" chunkys special pizza. So let's start with the chicken wings, firstly when I opened the bag to my horror there was the tiniest little box with 8 big wings crammed in it and as it was a meal I paid for the drink and chips both of which I didn't receive. At this point I was fuming. Then the second 'meal' was opened and it was a supposed 'volcano burger' costing £4.09 so I was expecting something juicy. Open the box and out comes the tiniest/ dryest 99p cheese burger ever! There was no sauce inside it as stated in the burgers description and it was a rip off completely. So by now I had considered calling the police due to the lack of effort put in to these 2 so called meals. So before I started to think about poking myself in the eye to calm myself down I thought maybe just maybe the pizza will regain the composure of this company opened the box and my gosh I now understand why they called it a chunkys special! The toppings fell off before I even touched the pizza and bare in mind I had ordered a 12", so it was meant to be pretty big as I have heard good things about this place and it was probably the smallest pizza I've ever seen. So my overall to this place is that only one drink arrived with minimal chips for the 99p burger which I paid £4 for. And the wings I paid £3 for a meal I got no drink or chips! Now if you've read this far I congratulate you but as I do sometimes you may think in your head... 'oh its just one review what could be the harm' please I'm begging you not to eat from this death trap unless you want to be dissapointed! Don't say I...

Chunkys, Bradford: This has to be one of the most underrated places I have been to. Thank you to Bilal who gave us the opportunity to review.

We tried the Chunkys Special pizza, Hot shot Parmesan, Ranch and Peri Burger and the Atomic Wings with Steak/Crinkle cut chips and the regular fries, and to top it off we had the Churros.

The Hot Shot Parmesan was on par with some of the top places in Bradford, it melted in the mouth and the cabbage mash was delicious.

The ranch burger had a very unique taste and the sauces were perfect, not over powering at all.

The pizza was quality, with the freshest ingredients. The pizza we got was a 9 inch stuffed crust, and the base was a little weak but we will try the 12 inch next time.

Overall an amazing experience and highly recommended, the staff were great, Habeel was very courteous.

What I learnt from this experience is, don’t judge a book by the cover, I drive past all the time but I’m glad I finally went in and tried a variety of their speciality dishes. Thank you very much guys.

Hi 👋, I purchased 5 peri burgers Saturday 8th May 21, evening for Iftari, the food was rotten, tried calling, upon many attempts to get through I left it. I don’t know if someone already called to complain the same day hence they stopped answering calls.

I wonder how they gave us rotten food, would they serve it to their own families, children.

I have been ill since then and still am. I have been vomiting all day and have a fever, dehydration. These guys are appalling. Never going there again. I felt like dropping off vomit to their shop.

Ps, the owner is confused with someone else. As for some evidence, I have attached a picture of what they caused.

A message for the owner, is your response pre-typed, waiting for a real review?

If you didn’t read, maybe you should get someone to proofread! I called many times that night, I already explained that.
