So we turned up at Bradford Stanley and on the door it said, closing at four today. We turned up at 14:50 so we decided to sit in. The guy started serving us and his colleague came up half way through and shouted rudely 'takeaway only'...at 14:50... To which the guy serving us also seemed confused, but then ended up getting shouted at, which we also heard. So we got given everything in boxes etc but charged for sitting in which makes it so much more expensive. We then decided to do the charity stick pull, we did it and let the man know we did it and passed him a 50p he then said we should of paid first and said that my son had cheated..cheated....which made him so upset and made him cry, which ruined a fantastic day, because it had been my son's birthday party with his friends today, and we decided to take him out for a special drink and he ended up feeling like he had been naughty when he hadn't, on his special day. I work in hospitality as a manager and wouldn't dare let my team speak or act like they did. All shouting and messing about behind the counter like it's a doss house. They were more bothered about getting home as soon as they could rather than doing their jobs. Never had a problem with this Costa before, but have always felt the team is very unprofessional with all the shouting and messing about. Extremely disappointed and kind of makes me and my family never want to use Costa again. It takes a lot for me to ever make a complaint because I work in the same industry and know sometimes you can't do right for wrong, and it's hard work. The staff themselves, both nonchalant and more concerned about gossiping on their headsets. A incident of a lady walking into the counter with her tray, in which sheâd spilt scorching hot liquid on her wrists, in which the staff quite honestly didnât even blink an eye lid, other customers helped the lady in which youâd expect the manager or staff to check her burns, recommend cold water or just something, but not even an âare you okayâ just continued getting on with working, which is poor customer service and just a genuine lack of empathy. The lady who served us at the till was left with mopping the mess in which sheâd huffed to herself âwhy do I get left with this jobâ from working in customer service, that wouldnât be tolerated. Bare in mind weâd bought cakes and toasties in which the cake was shoved in the wrapper which defeats it being over ÂŁ3 quid as it is was then squashed. I ordered and I then was asked to take a seat as I was awaiting my order and it would be given to me. After waiting I had to go up and ask and the tray was waiting for me. I said its okay ill grab it as I was told I would be given my order at my seat. I was told yeah that is why we were about to go give you your order with... I was then met with some giggles from the sidekick whos working the drive thru who may assume the position in agreeing with chuckles. Cake served was stale and another server changed it and again after taking a seat some more pathetic giggling. Chuckles and her comrades made it a very horrible for someone who was just made a flying visit and who won't be returning.
