An unexpected find on our first visit to Haworth, but what a find it was! Its out of the way of the main tourist bit, and the outside might fool you.. but once you step inside the food is just beautiful, and served by very warm, friendly and attentive staff. If I lived closer to this place I would probably try to eat here every day. The dishes were cooked to perfection - tender meat, delicate flavours, soft chapatis, no puddles of grease. The restaurant was comfortable too, we were very relaxed. My only regret is that we couldn't stay longer and eat more.

Food was fine, I can't remember being either blown away or disappointed. I am veggie though, so the menu is always more limited. Staff were nice, and the location is good. It lost stars as: 1) When we visited, they did not accept card payments, so we had to walk back to an ATM in the pouring rain. They offered a direct bank transfer, which made the whole thing feel a little dodgy. 2) They do not accept Scottish notes, which is their decision but it doesn't make for a welcome sight as the first thing you see in when you arrive.

Appalling food !! After a long day at work I thought I would treat the family too a nice Indian take out, after reading such good reviews from here I assumed the food would be good ! I ordered 2 curry’s , a chicken tikka masala mild & a lamb rogan Josh. The chicken tikka could have passed as a soup I didn’t realise it was a vegetarian dish because we had ZERO chicken in our soup…sorry curry. The lamb rogan Josh was a sorry excuse the lamb was dried up and so much grease/oil was mixed into the sauce it was inedible. The poppadom pickle tray came spilled and the poppadoms tasted as if they was shop bought STALE the “royal” starter wasn’t very royal unless the royal family is a midget with an extremely small appetite. The only good thing about this meal was the rice. And let’s be honest anyone can cook rice. For the amount we payed the food was 100% NOT worth it !! So much that we ordered a McDonald’s soon after. I would very much like a refund of some sort as this...

Lovely food, extremely warm and friendly staff, food value for money (except the drinks!). We came in shortly after the restaurant opened so it was most empty, but it didn’t feel awkward at all because the staff were so friendly and welcoming. The food is standard curry house fare, we got poppadoms, bahjis, balti, vindaloo, rice, chips and a roti, which came to only £25. Perfect level of heat on the vindaloo and nothing was too greasy. Only criticism is £7 for two glasses of coke from the sofa fountain, and that they don’t accept card payments, which is very unusual in the UK nowadays. There is a free cash machine around the corner at the co op so it wasn’t a huge deal. I’ll be back if I’m in Haworth at...
