Awful awful service. Placed an order online, drove over 2 miles to pick it up as the one time we asked for delivery it took over an hour. Ordered 1 burger meal and one burger with an additional drink.
Got there and the guy behind the till (didn't get his name but he's in his 60's and dyes his hair black to try and beat aging) asked if I'd ordered. Told him I placed an online order and gave him the name.
He asked which website I ordered from. Told him it was their website. He started naming websites like Deliveroo, Justeat, ubereats etc so told him it's the website that comes up when you Google hfc great Horton Road.
The site that is linked to their phone number and address details.
He started rifling through receipts and decided he couldn't find my order details so asked another worker who found it instantly.
The order was ready so just needed my drinks and I could finally leave. That's when he tried to charge me 80p for the extra drink I'd already paid for. As he went to get it I found it on the receipt and showed him. Not only that, I told him it cost £1 on the site and maybe he shouldn't try and charge me for something twice.
Got to the door, ready to walk out with my order finally and he starts calling me back to the counter. He was unhappy that I challenged him on trying to charge me twice.
So I explained my experience to him. Kept it slow so it sank in as he seemed easily confused. Asked him why would he try to charge me for items already paid for online? and why are they 20% cheaper in the takeaway compared to an online collection order?
He claimed prices were different online. Asked how I, as a customer, was meant to know this and he gave no reason just said "you don't know why". As if the internet comes with its own charges, forcing prices up for every order.
So if you want to pay 20% more for your food, even though you pick it up yourself and there's no delivery fee involved, then order online, remember the website domain name, wear a name tag and be prepared to be charged again.
Bang average food. Only ordered here as usually they're quick. Unlike the guy...

After providing a faulty box, which caused all the contents of the food to fall in the bag within minutes, we returned and instead of being reasonable, he belittled us in front of other customers, trying to accuse us of "fraud," and creating a scene and going on about his business finance, acting like his 6 quid mistake would make him go on benefits or something. Was very disrespectful and aggressive, despite being regular customers. And demonstrating to us how a box works, undermining our intelligence. The young man and other chap sorted out the issue quick easy and no hassle. They're a credit to the business, one tip, the owner should avoid customer interactions or needs...
Read moreI've ordered food from this place regularly and on every occasion the food has been some what decent. However, on this occasion I ordered food for 10 people and the experience was poor.
The food when it arrived was firstly way too spicy to tolerate. To the point where we stopped eating midway and had to call it due to the spiciness. Felt like it was rushed as it was nearing closing time.
The service wasn't great on this occasion, we received 9 meals instead of 10. Very disappointing especially when the order was repeated back several times and I was even charged for the extra meal. All in all not a great experience next time I'd consider my options before...
