During my recent visit to Berries And Shakes, I was pleasantly surprised by the exceptional service provided by the owner, Kammy. When I mentioned that my friend, Dany, was feeling under the weather, Kammy went above and beyond to ensure that we felt taken care of. He prepared a special immune boost drink with extra ginger, tailored to Dany's needs. I'm thrilled to say that since drinking that concoction, Dany has been feeling remarkably better.

Moving on to the main attraction—the milkshakes. Let me just say, they are nothing short of incredible. Disappointing visit, wouldn’t return.

We tried this bagel place in Bradford and unfortunately, it really missed the mark.

I ordered a salmon bagel with avocado, lettuce, and onion. The bagel itself wasn’t fresh, lacked flavour, and honestly, I could’ve made something better at home. My husband ordered the beef bagel,which turned out to be a plain hamburger patty in a bagel. It was dry, flavourless, and just felt lazy.

We also had fruit teas, one of which tasted like water with a dash of juice. When we asked for a fresh one, the staff said “that’s just how fruit tea is” – although they did remake it, the second wasn’t much better.

The environment wasn’t great either, it was packed and the music was far too loud. We were there for around 20 minutes and heard the same two songs on repeat (one from Little Mix and one from Bars and Melody). It made it hard to enjoy the experience.

One staff member stood out; she was doing everything: making food and drinks, serving customers, answering phones, and managing delivery drivers. She was clearly working hard and deserves credit. On the other hand, the girl being trained just stood around with a poor attitude, barely helping and acting uninterested. A second staff member eventually appeared but didn’t do much either.

Story of my order with Berries (B) Great Horton:

Me: call the store and asks, can i place an order?

B: yes, what would you like?

Me: 5 milk shakes

B: as your order is over £30 we can't take this order. Come in store and place an order.

Me: please take one item off, order shall be below £30, If I need 5th item, il place a separate order in store.

B: no you can't do that (i.e you can't amend your order).

Me: as i said, take out 5th item, order shall be below £30.

B: says it shall be same thing, puts the phone down without explanation or apology.

Me: few minutes walk in the store, try yo have conversation with the staff on what happened in trying to place the order over the phone.

B: customer services guy again says, it would have been same thing and points to a gentleman next to him who is a manager, says very dismissively and rudely, this is company policy.

Me: yes I tried to make order below £30.

Manager: again very rudely asks me, so what do you want? Ignoring the whole point what I am trying to say. No empathy, no apology, no courtousy, not even an offer if they could do anything different to make things better.

Me: still placed an order below £30 as I had promised kids milk shakes. But the whole situation left a bad taste.
