Very Poor: few customers, two staff up front yet I'm waiting to be served. Again waiting for my sandwich and coffee to arrive... Still waiting. Eventually a sandwich (with spiced fries instead of the ordinary ones I ordered) arrived delivered by a waitress who never looked at me, provided no serviettes and walked off before I could ask where my coffee was. I had to go to the counter to ask for it. During my wait a waitress comes out with drinks no one claims and the waitress seems unaware which table they should go to. Waitress eventually leaves, eventually the people waiting for their order ask about their drinks, waitress is telling them I think that she'd been out with their order. They point to the bill staying this is the order not the one the waitress brought out. As for the food and drink, a flat white coffee with virtually no taste but milk. The bread didn't taste fresh to me, when I asked I was told they didn't advertise they served fresh bread!!! The chicken in the hot chicken sandwich was good but almost cold! Finally perhaps just personal taste but the sandwich was too dry, their was virtually no mayonnaise on it. upon leaving I did feed back my thoughts however I got the distinct impression I was wasting my breath.
This place is a franchise one of five, I've not been to the others but if they are anything like this one 'Don't Go'.
At a guess I'd say the staff had not worked in or had little experience of running/working in a cafe environment before.
If I was the franchise owner, especially of a newer business id want to make sure the folks buying my franchise were up to the job (not hiring professional staff to run and staff the cafe would be my first big objection to you getting a franchise off me!)
Reputations are hard to get and maintain but very easy to lose, when other cafes carry the same name they get tared with the same brush.
Honestly it's a pity, the place has been designed nicely with the university crowd from the university opposite (main entrance directly opposite cafe)it's obvious focus, yet I noticed no students in the cafe. Students quickly know which places to go to and which to avoid!
A real disappointment, especially as I was hopeful of another cafe to add to my regular haunts and thought this would...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI recently visited Mowchi on Great Horton Road, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish! āāāāā
The wide variety of bubble tea flavors they offer is truly impressive. Whether you're into classic options or want to try something unique, they've got you covered. I personally loved their Spanish Latte - it was so delicious and refreshing. My family got the fruit bubble teaās.
The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. They took the time to explain the menu and even recommended some delightful combinations. The service was quick, and I didn't have to wait long for my order.
The quality of their ingredients is top-notch. The pearls were perfectly chewy, and the tea was just the right balance of sweetness and flavour. It's evident that they take pride in using high-quality ingredients.
The ambiance of the place was cozy and inviting, making it a great spot to relax with friends. They've created a wonderful atmosphere for customers to enjoy their drinks.
Overall, Mowchi gets a well-deserved 5-star rating from me. I can't wait to go back and try more of their fantastic flavourās. If you're a bubble tea lover, this place is a must-visit!
Highly...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreCame in today (28/11/23 at 16:15pm) to order a simple iced latte with brown sugar. The staff member serving us had no idea what I was ordering and attempted to over complicate my order, but was corrected for the second time, which was a simple shot of coffee in my drink. When I received my order the drink tasted like cold milk, the product clearly looked white as milk, and when returning to the counter to ask for coffee in my drink (as originally asked for) the worker turned to her colleague and said āwhat do you mean thereās no coffee, shall I taste it for herā, also when asked by her colleague to change the plastic cover she said āno Iāll just pour coffee through the strawā, such a disgusting attitude from the worker who wears a hijab with glasses. No positive work ethic or attitude at all from this child that youāve hired, Iād suggest giving her extra training in the coffee industry and bettering her customer services. And after all this the drink still...
