Finally giving up. Have been coming here for a long time and the steady decline in quality matched by decline in service means will not be coming back. Started the meal with a lipstick stained glass. Starter was fine. Curry Wednesday. Hmm. Despite my friends asking to move on I asked to stay and we got two chicken tikkas. They were awful and tiny. Now, you're not expecting massive quality for the price, merely something tasty and consumable. It didn't taste great. The chicken must have been microwaved for around 3 days as it was like chewing on rubber bands and not possible to eat. The popadom was soft and could be folded. We were asked if the food was okay before we had properly started? Would seem a little illogical. Poor chap next to us was asked 3 times. The empty plates then sat on our table for 50 minutes whilst there seemed to be a shift change. The tall blond barman spent his time with occasional service and mostly talking to a guy in a baseball cap who was drinking at the bar. The blond waitress was busy on her mobile for a fair period including leaving to take a call at the bar then outside. We asked the tall blond barman about the food (he didn't ask despite how it looked in the photos below) and he said duty manager is upstairs, I can bring him down if you want. Maybe service standards are just different now? Plenty of better options in the area. Owner-in case you give your standard hope we give you a 2nd chance, answer? No we won't. I've been coming here about 10 years, think it's time for a permanent change. Supervise your staff and QA your food. 3 poor meals in a row in not coincidence.

Nice place to have a drink in a hot summer time, just close to the Leeads and Liverpool Canal, if you are walking through.

I often go to the Noble Comb, staff are lovely, friendly and polite. However, two weeks ago I ordered a lasagne. When it came it looked OK, looked a bit too microwaved. As I got a fork full, I noticed what looked like carrots. I asked a member of staff to ask the chef if he had put carrots in as I am allergic in that they make me sick. When she came back to the table she said they come prepackaged and on checking the ingredients it had carrots. I've never heard of carrots in a lasagne. However, this was dealt with very professional indeed, cannot fault the staff on their thoughtfulness. Two days ago, we went and I ordered a classic new yorker, I think it was cold. Looked very over microwaved. However, as you can see, it looks dry but, the chicken was quite succulent although my daughter said hers was a bit dry. Seems all their food comes prepacked rather than cooked from scratch. Won't stop me going again though.

I am quite local and visit often but couldn’t believe how dirty it was. We had took some friends as their are visiting, and I felt embarrassed so didn’t complain to the staff at the time. The tables was dirty and sticky I asked a staff member if she could wipe. She said the tables was like that because they aren’t getting them waxed anymore and wanting to get some new tables. She was a lovely girl. My friend went to the bar for drinks and when he came back he said the lady behind the bar was so miserable and when he asked for a j2o she just put the bottle down and didn’t ask if he wanted a glass so he asked for one and ice and she just looked at him. the menus had old food on them when we looking on the menu. Wow the food came out and it was lovely can’t fault the portion size or how it was presented lovely. Shame that when I looked on the window I bet there was about 50 big flys. I was sat facing but our friends must have noticed and just didnt say owt. I went outside with my friend and there was 1maybe 2 rats running in the bush I have seen this before but just thought it’s a food place there bound to be rats about especially with you been able to eat outside but these rats wasn’t bothered that there was quite a few people outside and it was loud as if was Friday night at 7pm. I totally get it’s what you pay for and it’s pub grub but there no need for it to be so dirty. I don’t think we will be going for a while and definitely won’t be taking friends. I don’t normally moan but there was more than 1or 2 things. I just didn’t want to make our friends feel uncomfortable if I had...

We called tonight with Family to celebrate a late Wedding Anniversary as only Just come out of Hospital, My Wife normally comes here with her Friends so we thought we would give it ago. The place was lovely & Warm, we were shown our reserved table which was not suitable but the lovely young lady showed us to another one with no problem, once we decided to order Niamh who went through and took our order was brilliant everything was brilliant and even managed to use our E voucher to wards our order. With in about 20 minutes our order came Loverly and Hot and value for Money with nothing missing it late. The service was brilliant with no issues with the Food or Service. The only issue we had is that we had our three year old Great granddaughter with us and she wanted to play on the Indoor Play Centre so we went along, unfortunately the sign says all children need to be watch by there Parent and a height restriction was in place, so many children on there own was in the Room with many miles to big running about like idiots Knocking younger ones other we did try speaking to them but just got grief. We do thing this area needs addressing before anyone in serious Hurt other wise the Evening was Brilliant and would recommend it to anyone. Many...
