Quinta Restaurant — Restaurant in Bradford

Awful experience, booked for my fiancé’s birthday, which was very much ruined after this. Arrived to be told our table was going to be delayed by 30 -40 minutes, despite booking for an early eve gin time slot due to having a young child, which was fully explained when the booking was made - there wasn’t even a phone call out of courtesy or even an attempt to make up for this. Tables were extremely cramped (and we were still asked to squeeze a walk in table in behind our tables) - there was no room for the waitress to walk around the tables, let alone be keep at a reasonable social distance from other diners. The four adults in our party ordered 5 starters - 4 of which were not available, and 4 main courses - 2 of which were not available - this seems to equate to nearly half the menu. We were not even informed what was or wasn’t available when given our menus. In the mean time, I had ordered 2 appetisers for the table - 20 minutes later, a small plate of shop bought pitta bread and hummus appeared, 10 minutes after, other appetiser had even materialised from the kitchen by the time we left. The inside of the restaurant, dumb waiter etc, was filthy and unbelievably disorganised - dirty dishes strewn everywhere. Who I can only assume was the manager/owner seemed more intent to sit on a table inside and tv on/play with his phone than even attempt to address any of the very apparent issues. I had a meal here the other day with my Partner, and it was a wonderful experience; we loved everything about it. I had a delicious King prawn and salad starter, and a fish stew for my main. It is one of the best meals I've ever had. Everything was cooked to perfection; fresh, extremely tasty, and perfect portion sizes. I also have various allergies and intolerances such as gluten and dairy, and this was not a problem at all. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, checking what dishes would be suitable for me, and making adaptations so I could have things. The staff dealt with it so well, and they didn't make me feel like I was being difficult/a problem, unlike other restaurants I've been to. They were more than happy to sort things out for me, and even brought me gluten free warm bread so I could have bread with my partner before the meal. I had a coffee after the meal, and was even able to have soya milk. The coffee is excellent by the way- I absolutely recommend having some if you visit. The atmosphere was great, and the music was perfect too- relaxing, and not too loud, so you can easily have a conversation. A rare gem.

My wife and I went to Quinta Bar & Grill, Ilkley Thursday evening( the 16th of August 2018). As soon as we walked in we were warmly greeted and shown to our table. There were only two other people dining and therefore not much atmosphere, but the place very quickly filled up. There was live music, a jazz singer accompanied by a guitarist, they were both excellent . The restaurant is quite small but has a great feel to it. The food was fantastic, we both had different starters but we both had the steak for our main and it was like eating heaven, full of flavour and it cut like butter, every piece edible unlike some restaurants that serve shoe leather masquerading as steak. My wife had dessert and I had a coffee and we were given chocolates, it was our anniversary, served on a plate with "happy anniversary " written in chocolate.
