I attended Shimlas on the Wednesday 23/03/22 arrived around 17:25 we are from the Greater Manchester Area took us around 53 minutes luckily we managed to find parking just up the road (I guess when it's busy parking can be a pain). One of the main reason I choose this establishment over others such Anams/Mumtaz due to the google reviews. We ordered: Chicken Pakora Seekh Kebabs (Lamb) Chicken Jalfrezi 2 x Garlic Naan 2 x Chips Salad Mango Paradise (Mocktail) Was told that we were unable to get the Mango Paradise due to use ordering before 6pm (not an detailed reason but I didn't want to get into debate over it). The tables are slightly too close to others so privacy can be an issue for some (but I guess they want to maximise dining it so not a big issue). They have a few staff also and they are very nice and helpful and they clean toilet facilities. Bill came around £30.70 for 2 people so not mega expensive. Now the food Alhamdulilah to food was amazing my Mrs loved it (she is a very picky eater), I honesty can't saying anything bad about the food, everything was on point. One thing I did note is that lady who across us did complain about her food being late and other people getting food before them even though they arrived after them (I guess this could be due to some food taking longer to cook). I would recommend visiting this establishment to my family and friends.

I went to this place after hearing great things about it from family and friends. We ordered, a mixture of chicken tikka lamb tikka and lamb chops and I ordered a chicken doner with a sheesh kebab. The food took over 20 minutes to come which was understandable and it was shorter then what our waiter told us which was 45 minutes and grill food normally takes longer then fried food. The food tasted very nice, but the chicken doner was slightly plain, the sheesh kebab was spicy and the chicken tikka was also plain but the lamb tikka and chops tasted amazing. The service was excellent, the price wasn’t too expensive and I would recommend trying this place

Review based on takeout and home delivery. I love Shimlas for one reason and have highly recommended it as having the best lamb chops in the country to all my foodie friends and family. Unfortunately due to the pandemic I've had to order at home a lot and it's never been worth even 3/5. Food is often cold which is somewhat expected but what I don't expect is to have missing items or ignored instructions. Twice I've had a missing lamb chop, which to their credit was once replaced by a full portion the next time I went to collect (but only after I complained and stated what any good business would have done after the first error). On this occasion I was craving a late night portion of chops which set me back almost £10 delivered. I'm fine with the cost due to delivery. I've attached a photo of the chops. It's not an isolated incident either. It feels like every delivery order is treated with less care than eating in. The chops were dryer than the Sahara and equally burnt too. The quality has taken a skydive which is disappointing because I truely loved their chops and some other choice dishes. Maybe it'll be different when I eat in again but for now I won't be ordering takeout or delivery anymore. It'd be a 0 star but they get 2 for the speedy delivery which was mostly down to the Uber driver if we're being honest.

OVERATED PLACE !!!! Service was great but food was VERY disappointing. I was recommended to go Shimlas, so i went with my family and the food was terrible. We ordered a Mix grill and the chicken and meats on it were dry and tasteless. Zero spice literally just having dry meat that hasn't been marinated with anything. Also ordered Chikken Tikka on nan and again dry. There is no taste was so ever just Bland. And the white mayo sauce or whatever it is, i dont think it is mayo it added nothing to the food. The Dynamite Wings was nice, and house sauce was good. I ordered the Cheesy Chicken and fries with a nan, and that was ok. The restaurant looks great overall but unfortunately the food doesn't reflect on it whatsoever. Definitely not coming back for food here. ( by the way there was 9 of us eating and everyone disliked it )

Ordered on uber eats. Received the wrong order and when we sent a picture to the call agent we were accused off lying. we ordered 2 chicken donners, 1 fish donner and 1 meat donner - instead received 2 fish donners and 1 meat donner and 1 chicken donner…….. I normally wouldn’t take my time out to write such a review however the fact that i’ve was told i was lying on the phone has infuriated me. The customer service was diabolical won’t be ordering from there. such a shame as i was a regular customer and I was cut off whilst waiting for places on hold. We sent a picture and video and we’re told that there are two chicken donners, 1 fish donner and a Meat donner. please see attached the image…… why would i lie over a £9-£10 donner. it’s about integrity and i won’t be accused off being a liar!!!

Honest review...shimlas sauce scam Food is nice but standards have dropped over time...the amount of sauce u get in the tubs is just becoming a joke now. I added 3 tubs up and it filled ONE TUB yet u charge people for "extra sauce" Service in the restaurant is atrocious, no smile or good mannerisms, ur made to feel like a nuisance. There's never anyone at front of house, and when u try and ask for help off a worker they fob u off or look confused. The atmosphere is what it is...noisey and unorganised, foods okay...i think with the way things are going on the restaurant and food scene (especially in Bradford) Shimlas is going to get left behind because there better food places with miles better service who actually give u full tubs of sauce.
