Turned up with family on Sunday at 11:40AM to get settled in before any lunch rush. Went to order our Sunday roasts and were told that we couldn't order roasts until 12:00, but we could order other foods. So we sat back down with some drinks and waited while seeing seeing lots of other groups of people, come in, sit down, and then order their foods. We got in the queue that had now appeared and were finally able to order our roasts at 12:08PM, only to then be told that the food would take around 30 minutes. A member of staff came over around to provide our cutlery, with some serviettes, unwrapped and plonked on the table in a pile for us to dish out ourselves. Our food finally arrived at 12:45PM for the roasts, but the other food was not provided at the same time (the whole purpose of us waiting 15 minutes to provide our complete order). No apologies were provided by staff in any way or complimentary drink provided. The cauliflower and carrots were practically raw for the roasts, and the other dish (a Super Special Chicken New Yorker) came with hardly any bacon covering the chicken, and next to no BBQ sauce. For a meal that is supposed to contain 1,700kcal, it was looking very anaemic. Further, the coleslaw was missing from the dish, and I had to ask for it to be provided, as intended. Over all, not impressed by the service or the food at all. It's clear that this place is unable to cope with lunchtime demands and should look to scale down their menu significantly. UPDATE: Was asked to contact the restaurant via email in a response, and did so, detailing the experience and asking how they plan on not just making this visit up, but also overall improving their services to ensure it doesn't happen again. So far, 3 weeks on, I still have had no response. Why ask for someone to get in touch to resolve something, if you're not even committed to doing so?? As their 'concern' is just a front, and not genuine, the review has now dropped from 2 stars, down to 1 star. I would give it a 0 if possible at this point. Waste of time!

Food not as per menue. When you advertise grilled wedge of pineapple serve it. not a stale ring from a tin. Peas were stone cold . Pepper sauce ordered as an extra. Was si.ply revolting very little taste and as in picture was very minimal in quantity ,thick and lumpy texture. The steak and ruddles pie crust was so hard and dry. Obviously been microwaved . The burger with bacon was lacking seasoning and lacked flavour Apple crumble with custard had been heated in a microwave. Part was stone cold while the other half was so hot it burnt your mouth. As to the custard that to was not hot but so tepid it was revolting. First round of drinks arrived prior to main meal this was good. Yet we had to remind the servers 3 times for our second soft drink order. Staff were more Interested in who were staying after work for a drink with another colleague than taking orders. When another diner asks for a manager to deal with a complaint regarding food hygiene . Do not expect the server to take the blunt end of it it is your responsibility to deal with it . do not send him back with pathetic offers instead of him having to return 3 times to the diner. Because of this it drops the ambience to realistically zero stars The very limited menue is somewhat the major disappointment with the addition of the quality

I've gone midway only because the app is horrible to use and the 20% that has been advertised everywhere was pulled today. The staff where helpfull polite and even arranged for our dessert to be made takeaway. But only ordered dessert because of the 20% off 1st time app use offer. Recent renovation but radiator near our table was baging like a drum...reported and told it's been doing it for ages...I ended up fiddling with it myself and stopped the noise..lights at high level flickering..and waiting best part of an hour for our food to arrive. Again not directly moaning at staff as after ordering 5 drinks 5 meals and 5 puddings which was enough to pull your hair out...it said we aim to have your food in 15 mins...the lady brought the drinks and said it's going to be 30-40 mins. It would have been quicker and cheaper to order at the bar as it seems if you do not order 1 meal and 1 drink...it cant work out that offer so it would seem I paid £12 more because the app is poor. After all that food was large and tasty and the staff although very busy all had smiles and tried to help.

First impressions wasnt great. Outside was dirty with lots of drunk people shouting at each other. Once inside it was slightly better. Very busy and after a short while located a table. It however had not been cleaned, we had to grab the attention of a waitress to inform her, but she disappeared never to be seen again. Finally found another member of staff who came to clean the table but just brushed most of it into our laps. Menu was well laid out, not a huge selection but enough to cater for every taste. Had to que up for 20 minutes to get to order our food and drink. Ordered starters and main meals together but stated we want them out seperately, unfortunately everything came at once so we ate our starters with our mains. We had a variety of food quadzilla burger, 12 oz rump steak (blue) but had to explain what that was, chicken new yorker, mixed grill, chicken tikka, fish and chips, chicken ceasar salad. As previously stated this all turned up with our starters so we had a right feast. The quality of the food wasnt brilliant, the steak had fat running through it and around the outside, now a little fat is ok but this looked like 3 or 4 pieces of steak stuck together, asked for another as rump shouldnt have this. Was brought out another but with the same chips as before just kept hot. The second steak was slightly better but still alot of fat. The chips were hard and tasted like uncooked pasta. The quadzilla burger was 100%. The chicken ceasar salad was 100%. Fish and chips was 100% but it would be quite difficult to mess up a burger salad and fish with chips. Chicken New yorker was over cooked and dry. Mixed grill was just average but did come with a greasy oily liquid apon which all the food sat swimming in. The curry was very tasty with loads of chicken and lots of taste. Had it not been for us having starters then we wouldve left hungry. We did bring all these problems to the attention of our waitress who promised to get a supervisor, but after waiting 15 minutes and still no supervisor we decided The Chase must have access to an alien portal, as this was the second waitress to disappear completely. So being left here with mainly unsatisfactory food we decide to cut our losses and leave. Now it was very very busy this day but that was no excuse, we have eaten here before and must say it wasnt anywhere near as bad as this time. The fact there was no communication amongst staff was a...

Visited this eve as a family of 5 adults to celebrate my Birthday...what a disappointment from start to finish...firstly we were greeted at the entrance by the Manager who told us what table we were at, had to find our own way instead of being shown to our table whereas before we had been escorted to our table, after deciding on our drinks & meal options my Husband went up to the Bar to order, he got told there was no Koppaburg Strawberry & Lime as they had run out, so chose an alternative, went to order our meals & got told that 3 meals out of the 4 they hadn't got as run out again so had to go back to our table & re-choose another 2 options. When the food did come out there was a long blonde hair stuck in our son's food which made him feel sick, I wanted to show this to the Waitress but our Son didn't want to cause a fuss & then proceeded to eat his meal, my husband & I both chose Fish & chips, frozen thin chips which were only slightly lukewarm. Then to cap it off when we went to order our desserts we were told that the Ultimate Candy mania was a sharing dessert & not for 1 person, which surely should be the Customers choice if they want a big dessert like that, then when I asked if we could swap the Chocolate ice cream for Strawberry please we got told no we can't do that as the ice cream is already mixed, so I said to the Barman well we've had it changed to a diff flavour before when we've asked, with that he promptly said we'll we don't do it now! Last time we went which was a few weeks ago they said they had run out of Candymania's so was really looking forward to having one tonight With that we told him not to bother we would leave it & go elsewhere which we did! The Barman reaked really badly of Body Odour which was not at all pleasant. Went in the toilets before leaving & they were disgusting, filthy dirty with paper, sweet wrappers & piles of muck on the floor in the corner of the cubicles & they stank of urine. This pub really needs to sort itself out as such a shame & the food issues and everything are letting it...
