Only good thing I can say about this place is that it looks good and clean. Also convenient location right next to the tube station. However… everything else was horrid, especially the service, absolutely apalling. The waitresses were nice and polite, but apart from this, pretty useless with all due respect. For context it was myself and some friends (5 people group) went there for their ‘unlimited sushi’ offer. Beware that this is pretty much a scam. They sit you at the table and start bringing you the sushi THEY want, and some miso soup. Then, after they brought us like 15 pieces of sushi (for 5 people!!), they came and asked ‘would you like to order anything else’. We ordered what we wanted, and 20 minutes later, they brought us completely different sushi (NOT what we ordered), and also significantly less pieces. The waitresses were sat at the bar and chatting to each other, not coming to check on us if the food was ok or whether we wanted to order anything else (which SHOULD happen). We had to wait another 30mins, they didn’t even come to clear the table. I had to go to them at the bar and ask where our food was (because they didn’t bring what we asked for), and they were like ‘oh… would you like to order something else?’. Bear in mind the restaurant was empty at the time we were there. They didn’t even bring the food we ordered in the first place! I had to tell them the whole order again, for the second time, we waited another 30mins, and they STILL brought the wrong order. We asked for salmon makis and they brought us avocado makis ONLY. Scam. Also they ask you to pay in advance if you’d like to reserve, which I never came across before. Also, even the drinks order they didn’t get right - 5 soft drinks and they brought the wrong ones also… The quality of the sushi was ok (not the worst, not the best). I had very high expectations and am very disappointed. We travelled a long way (about 60miles) only to go to this place as it had such amazing reviews and we are sushi lovers. I recently visited Zebranos Brentwood sushi restaurant and had a mixed experience. On the positive side, the staff were absolutely lovely. Everyone who served us was welcoming, friendly, and tried their best.

However, the owner of the restaurant had his own policy as the customer is never right and he will never apologise. He was rude, argumentative, and arrogant. During our meal, a heated argument broke out at the table next to us, resulting in drinks being thrown and our table getting soaked. The bouncer did intervene at the very start but the ladies were left to continue their spat and throwing another drink as they left. Not once did anyone (staff, management/ owner) even approach our table and offer to clean up, ask if we were ok, apologise. It was really poor service and no one expects to be treated like that when going out for the evening.

I approached the manager about the incident, expressing that this was not acceptable behavior and that the restaurant should ensure a safe and comfortable environment for its customers. Instead of apologising or offering any form of compensation, he became argumentative and even physically confrontational. Asked me to take the conversation outside of the restaurant as a female on my own with him, which wasn’t appropriate but my friend accompanied me. The tapped me whilst telling me it’s not his fault someone threw a drink. I had to tell him not to touch me and that his behavior was unprofessional. He threatened to involve the police which was ridiculous and unnecessary. I ended up just agreeing to disagree as I didn’t want the night ruined for myself and my friends and continued to have a good night.

Despite the excellent food, beautiful decor, and kind manner from K the manager and Sarah, the owner's behaviour significantly impacted our experience. It's a shame because the staff are brilliant, but the owner's attitude and inability to handle situations appropriately is a major drawback. I would think twice before returning. We recently enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Zebrano, and I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted and promptly shown to our table. The atmosphere was inviting, and even as the restaurant began to fill up, the service remained impeccable.

Every staff member contributed to a seamless experience—whether it was the host who welcomed us or the individuals who brought our food and drinks.

Our server, Klodian, truly stood out. He perfectly read the mood of our table, striking just the right balance between professionalism and friendliness. Klodian even managed to connect with our usually shy son, getting him to share a high five—a rare and delightful moment for our family.

The menu at Zebrano offers a wide variety of dishes, making it difficult to choose just one. There is truly something for everyone, regardless of taste or preference. The food itself was prepared faster than we expected and was absolutely delicious. Special praise must go to the chefs, whose skill and attention to detail were evident in every dish we tried—the flavors were vibrant, and the presentation was beautiful.

What impressed me most was the perfect level of attention we received. We never had to wait for anything, and our needs were anticipated before we even had to ask. The speed of service, the quality and variety of the menu, and the outstanding taste of the food all contributed to a memorable evening.

In summary, if you are in the area and looking for excellent value—both in terms of food quality and service—I highly recommend dining at Zebrano.
