The Tap is a lovey little pub, which is a two minute away from the station. Quick service from the bar staff who always friendly. It a bit of locals pub, but all seem welcome. A nice selection of beers and spirits. The Tap is place in Brentwood to get a decent pint Guinness, and I have tried them all.

It has an outside space, which has a large TV and plenty of seating. Inside which is the only down side of the pub is a little on the small side.

Most weekends it’s pack and there is always something going on be it be DJ or karaoke and the off quiz.

If you love your Guinness, then drink it here. This is the cheapest place in own...

Not a local but always saw this pub whilst driving by in the course of my job...had the opportunity to visit today and my hunch paid off! Really friendly landlord & landlady as were the locals...a proper pub not far from the Railway Station with no plastic people as can be the case on the High Street! Really impressed with the price for Timothy Taylor Landlord...£3.10 a pint but then she explained £2 90 a pint Monday to Thursday...wow so cheap in Brentwood 😉🍺 part of the Craftunion pub chain so enjoy quality ale without having to pay...

This used to be a well loved local. It's been taken over and there has been some modernisation. Interior is a bit fresher now and I also don't bang my head the glasses store above the bar now, but I'd have to say that the beer selection has taken a turn for the worse. The folks that own the pub now, Craft Union, may be trying to cash in on the craft beer scene but there wasn't a craft beer in the place. Service was good and the place was clean and tidy but I miss...

Visited on 12 December 2019 A nice little 'locals' pub but welcoming to out of towners. Don't expect an array of craft beers, but alongside the generic fizz they have Greene King IPA (pass) and Timothy Taylor Landlord, which was delicious and only £2.80 a pint...we're not in shoreditch anymore Toto! Clean pub and clean gents toilets and there appeared to be a heated back garden area for smokers. If I found myself in the area again I'd pay another visit.

Great local pub, quite small inside but nice patio/space out the back with heaters for smokers and umbrellas so you don't get wet. Never had an issue in here, everyone is lovely. Food is just bar snacks but fab, good selection of beers and fairly priced. Would recommend this place and Essex Arms in Brentwood for a pint 🍻 Close to the station too.

Great service and two pints for £5.30. Enjoying a few chilled lunch time pints on my own in positive isolation. Original post from over a year ago, at time of editing...
