Coffee#1 Henleaze — Restaurant in Bristol

An excellent example of a very ! good company in 21st century I think, and their chain of 'coffee shops': coffees, drinks wider, various all sorts, and cakes and savouries snacks etc. Pastries, croissant too. Toasted tea cakes and etc.

Very keen able young staff, Henleaze, as elsewhere, and who are led by a very good youngish man manager boss, he seems to be to me. Kind but leading a team well. As Westbury on Trym also seems to me, good!! team way with good leader overseeing well: the sort of led team work which is good to be! in, a part!!... and serves the customers very well at August 2021, I think.... Hope it carries on so.

He and the team, Henleaze, seem kind and doing their job as one onself might have done far better at such ages, theirs ....of getting on, simply no fuss, good, fine working. Great to see them leading by such example to other younger folk too, starting out in working years and beyond... of kind, hard working as they are able, ways. And seeking to respect the communities and community and folk whom they serve, us each. Thanks ! to them.

If there are occasional serving errors at times. ...then : They seek to work such through peaceably and not thinking they must be correct and the customer wrong. But are respectful and keep the peace well. Others in customer service could kindly learn from such skills of diffusing misunderstandings etc and such thoughtful ways kindly given to us all, we imperfect customers who need patience also, kindly. Thanks! to them/ such staff earning their wage well so.

I and friends always look out Coffee No 1 where we go, further afield, after getting to know our two close-by locals in Henleaze, and Westbury on Trym Bristol, as both so good, ...we think... over the last 5+(?) years or so. -- Many thanks to all of them, staff folk, and the company heads, for giving us such very good local places and ambience and fayre !!

...and long may we have such great places in our communities, - I ! reckon!! --. As do lots of others I believe think as I do about them at August 2021.

One might catch them, -as any of us sadly!- on a less good day, or food or drink not quite! so good, but try a few times, and as things stand Aug 2021 I and others think to be: each should find them very! good for the taste...

Standard coffee shop. I made the mistake of asking if they had any gluten free cakes etc. I was told by a staff member that I had to scan a QR code to down load A huge list of which allergen every item in the shop contained. As I was by now holding up 6 people behind me I chose not to do this. Why does coffee 1 do this,? Any other coffee shop will have a gf / lacto/egg/nut allergy sign on each item , making choices easy and quick. We , are as allergen sufferers well aware of the difficulties faced by shops selling allergen producing products but surely small cards showing the ingredients in each item would allow us, as purchasers ,the knowledge we need to make an informed choice. Come on coffee 1 ! You are way behind most other food sellers. Your coffees good and the staff are friendly but this experience has put me off of ...

Nice ambience and very good coffee. Only 1 member of staff serving today so I queued for nearly 10 minutes. There were 9 people waiting to be served when I left! 10.12.22 7 people queuing Infront of me today & about a 10 minute wait to be served. When will the owners (Nero) put customer service first? 28.02.23 Visited mid-morning. Very noisy to begin with, lots of mums and babies. Quitened down after about 111. Coffee and cake (mocha & maple syrup flapjack) as good as ever! Queue duration OK today 30.01.25 Fast efficient service, lovely coffee.
