The Cosy Club strikes that perfect balance between upmarket dining and genuine value that’s surprisingly rare these days. I’ve been coming here regularly for breakfast, and it’s become my favourite spot for a proper weekend treat. The English breakfast here is absolutely superb – everything you’d expect from a quality establishment. The ingredients are clearly top-notch: proper sausages with actual meat content, thick-cut bacon cooked to perfection, free-range eggs, proper mushrooms, and quality toast. It’s presented beautifully without being pretentious, and the portions are generous without being excessive. What impresses me most is that despite the upmarket atmosphere and quality ingredients, the pricing is remarkably reasonable. You’re getting restaurant-quality food at prices that won’t break the bank. The staff are genuinely exceptional – attentive without being overbearing, knowledgeable about the menu, and always friendly and professional. They make you feel welcome whether you’re dressed casually or smartly, which creates a relaxed yet refined atmosphere. Service is prompt, they’re excellent at accommodating dietary requirements, and they clearly take pride in their work. The venue itself is beautifully decorated – comfortable seating, lovely interior design, and a sophisticated ambience that makes breakfast feel like a proper occasion rather than just refuelling. It’s equally suitable for catching up with friends, a relaxed business meeting, or simply treating yourself. If you want a breakfast experience that feels special without the eye-watering prices of boutique establishments, The Cosy Club delivers every

We stumbled across this place on the last morning of our trip, after finding our usual brunch spot full. What a find! The decor is absolutely stunning - so light, airy and grand. We got a warm welcome and shown to a seat where we had plenty of space for our bags. Service was fast and friendly from our lovely waiter, and the choice was impressive. We opted for a full cozy breakfast and some cozy eggs (eggs benedict with smoked salmon) as well as a coffee and an amazing elderflower and cucumber spritz. Everything was perfect, from the poached eggs and salmon to the creamy hollandaise. My other half loved everything but especially the crispy hash browns and the pork chop. We were made to feel so welcome and taken care of, particularly following a bad experience being ignored at another restaurant earlier in our trip, that this really was a brunch to remember. It made the final day of our trip very special and we lingered enjoying the decor and ambience before heading off for our final few hours in the city. Cosy Club will definitely be the first place we come for brunch on our next Bristol trip!

Being a bar restaurant, I almost regretted my choice of restaurant as soon as I walked in, being very noisy, but we had booked so carried on. The 3 starters we had were not great. The duck (salad) was very dry, the chicken (korean) was over cooked and dry but the tomato mozzarella balls were quite tasty. My lamb main course was tasty, but there was not a lot of lamb and the bread covered almost ½ of the plate. The chicken dish was good, cooked well, moist. We waited quite a while for desserts to come which were a little disappointing. The lemon posset had an additional raspberry couli on, not mentioned on the menu which overpowered the lemon flavour of the posset. My Eton mess type thing did not have 'toasted' meringue but was totally raw and there did not appear to be any lime zest. The wine cooler left the table very wet and I had to mop up the liquid left. The waitress was ok on the whole but didn't seem interested when after asking us, we told her our issues with the starter (dryness).

I am very disappointed with this restaurant. Me and my colleagues (16 of us) booked a table at this restaurant expecting to be sat together, this wasn’t the case and we were split one behind the other.

We asked if we could be sat together and the waitress and manager decided this could not be done. This was disappointing and unorganised after me and my colleagues booked in advance. I understand on a Friday night that the restaurant is busy (and it was) but we should’ve been notified that this was going to be the case.

The waitress was extremely nice and polite but the service was dreadfully slow, to wait over an hour for a desert is unacceptable and within that time, to be asked for drinks 3 times, we felt the restaurant was taking advantage as we were likely the last customers on these tables before they shut, so keeping us there longer for us to purchase more drinks.

The food itself was good, not brilliant. The food was served at different timings compared to the other split table so when they were eating, we were waiting.

When it got to the deserts, the restaurant ran out of cutlery so we were given tea spoons, and the portions were all different sizes.

Then the icing on the cake was the 10% service charge on the bill.

I am extremely disappointed in this big chain and popularity of this restaurant, I excepted a lot more and I felt exceptions on this occasion have not been met. I will not be returning anytime soon nor recommending this restaurant. I hope the restaurant can read this review and make any necessary changes for any...

We were visitors to Bristol and while planning our trip Cosy Club kept coming up as a ‘must visit’ so we thought surely it had to be good!

Wrong! We decided to visit for breakfast on our first day there after a long flight and it was a very cold welcome to Bristol in more ways than one.

We were the first ones there and the gentleman at the door couldn’t look more displeased to see us.

Decor inside was nice but the place was cold and it didn’t feel like there was any heating on. We both ordered pancakes which came surprisingly fast, yet somehow were also cold! My mum’s were barely warm and mine weren’t at all - not to mention both were tough and slightly chewy as if they’d been over microwaved or sat out for too long.

For drinks we had smoothies which were both quite watery and not really chilled, as if they’d been premade and sitting at room temp. We didn’t stay for very long and other than the interesting ceiling architecture and decor could not understand the hype.

Gentleman seemed friendlier and did smile at us and said goodbye as we left. Nice of him but it made it feel like us leaving made him happier than when...
