Had an awful interaction with one of the staff when they incorrectly gave my friend non vegan food.

Member of staff had mixed up our orders and given my meat item to friend saying it was vegan - which my feiend then ate. We complained to the manager about the mix up, she was rude, told us we hadn't, in fact, heard her colleague say it was vegan and that she was going to back up what her colleague had told her.

The colleague then came over us to apologise about the mix-up, saying they had read the ticket item incorrectly. Which suggests either the colleague lied to their manager about what was said, or the manager lied to us and didn't really care about the mix up.

When the manager bought me a replacement sandwich(because my friend had already eaten my meat one) I told the manager her service was unpleasant considering what had transpired and that given any sort of mixup regarding food should be treated more seriously as there could be a risk with allergies, etc. (You are told in training it is the venues responsibility to comply with allergens, you don't know why someone has chosen a vegan option.)

She then said that if my friend had an allergy, then they would have said and the venue would have done all they could to accommodate, and their allergy practices were really good. (Even though they gave my vegan mate something containing meat, dairy, etc.)

At the end of the day, she gave a meat product to a vegan, and we were essentially blamed for it on us, despite the venues responsibility to follow proper food and hygiene standards - including allergen training. Response was not really acceptable considering what had happened, and don't think we were taken seriously by the manager despite how serious the mix up...

Went in over the weekend with my parents and ordered an iced matcha, I forgot to order a pump of vanilla syrup as I payed. So I asked immediately after the fact if they could add syrup, saying that I would be happy to pay, and the server (she had dark-brownish hair) snapped at me. She was incredibly rude and responded with "Well can you just remember to order it first next time, cause we do actually charge for it and now I won't be able to put it through" to which I apologized and asked if I could pay for it as a separate tip, which she just shrugged and ignored. I don't normally write these reviews, however I was chatting to my friend about it and she told me about a similar experience she had with the same server over the weekend. My friend ordered a flat white with coconut milk (to have in) everything seemed fine, then 10 minutes later the server came over to inform her that they were out of coconut milk and asked if she could have Oat instead. When my friend responded, she asked if they have soy, at which point the server started quizzing her on her preference of milk. Saying " Why can't you have Oat instead, are you allergic", my friend replied with "no I'm not allergic, I just have a soy preference", the server then stated that their coconut milk had oat milk in it so she needed to state that next time she ordered a coffee. She was incredibly rude and made my friend feel very awkward. Not to mention my matcha wasnt even whisked properly and had solid clumps of powder. Over priced, Rude, and poor quality. Safe to say I won't be going...

Arguably some of the best coffee in Bristol. Dareshack is certainly my most visited coffee stop. The selection of coffee is exceptional and all of the baristas are highly skilled. Any choice of a classic coffee is good here, they also have a few signature drinks which are fun, too. I had my first espresso tonic here in the summer which was really amazing- I recommend this to anyone looling for a refreshing coffee based drink in the summer.

I haven't eaten here a lot but they always have fresh sandwiches which look decent, but importantly their baked goods are always amazing and worth coming here for.

The cafe itself is a really cool contemporary space. There are seats to people watch passers by outside, as well as some nooks to tuck away in and some more open tables. There is also a space here that sometimes art exhibitions are held in, as well as gigs showcasing local talent.

Love it here, I'm so happy we have a space of this quality in the...

Such a delightful cafĆ©! The carrot cake was moist, perfectly spiced, and topped with creamy frosting that wasn’t overly sweet. The cheesecake was rich and smooth with just the right tang — absolutely heavenly. My coffee latte was velvety and well-balanced, while the cappuccino had that perfect frothy top and deep coffee aroma. I also love that they offer vegan options, so everyone can find something delicious here. The staff were warm, attentive, and clearly passionate about what they serve. This is the kind of place where you can relax with friends or enjoy a quiet moment with a good book and a hot drink. Definitely a spot I’ll be visiting again!

Lovely atmosphere and friendly service. I asked for a soya milk cappuccino to stay in, so I was invited to take a seat, and the barista would bring my coffee. The coffee arrived after 10 minutes (ten) but no queue at the till. The cappuccino was brought without a spoon. I paid £3.90 for a cappuccino, which, consider the average prices around, it's way too pricy. My cappuccino was quite good, but temperature wise a wee mild and the foam was too thin, more like a latte than a cappuccino, but probably I noticed it just because I used to be a batista myself years ago. Overall, great place and atmosphere but service too relaxed and way too expensive.

The coffee was good, but was unremarkable and easily outshone by the food. The banana and peanut butter cake was delightful with a balanced flavour. I’m not a big fan of chocolate myself (I know, controversial), but my friend urged me to have a bite of their brownie and it was honestly almost mind-blowing. It was rich, dense and creamy, and for chocolate / brownie lovers this item alone will make the shop worth a visit. The shop itself was chic and spacious - the perfect place for a break or catching up with friends.
