We are a group of four travelling to Bristol for the weekend. I went to book online and saw the minimum booking is for six. I'm sure some people circumvent this by saying 'two couldn't make it' but I didn't want to do that.
I contacted the venue via live chat and asked 'Can we pay for six people, even though only four of us will attend?'. Three times in the text chat exchange I was told 'but you can't have a refund'. I pointed out I didn't want one, I hadn't asked for one, the question was very simple, 'can four people attend but pay the cost of six?'
Finally they said four could attend and went on to list the restrictions of use which would apply because we would be a party of four. If I am paying for six people I would expect to not lose any of the benefits of use, unless you charge for four and the restrictions would be more than acceptable, but you can't take our money and have it both ways.
I decided to find something else and marked the place as one to avoid.
EDIT: I have seen the response and it completely ignored my issue and reflects the discussion I had with one of their staff. Again, I specifically asked if four people could attend BUT pay for six. The answer I was given was 'yes but we will limit you as if four attended'. THAT was not addressed...
Read moreMy friend and I went on our lunch break (we work nearby at Broad Quay House) and it was a lot of fun.
The session was 90 minutes and we managed to cram in 18 different games in that time.
It's all very interactive with touch screen to create your profiles, take group photos and videos, choose the type of darts game you want to play, and to order food and drink.
Katrina greeted us and explained how everything works. She was very friendly and helpful, as was the other lady who served us for food and drink.
The decor inside is really cool and the music they play is upbeat and groovy and perfect for the vibe of the place.
We shared the chargrilled chicken pizza which was actually quite light and delicious. Not too stodgy like some pizzas can be.
The place is in a great location on Corn Street in the centre of the city between the Harbour side, St Nicholas Market and Broadmeads.
So it would be a perfect lunch or dinner spot for people travelling into the city for the day, or people who work in Bristol, centrally.
I also want to book again for a night out with friends as it's a great bonding sesh and a lot of fun. Especially when you win 15 out of 18 games :)
Definitely check it out, even if you're not a darts fan or have...
Read moreWe ordered from the drinks menu 2 cocktails (everything ok with them) one whiskey and one rum. On the menu they were priced 5.5 and around 8.5. when we asked for the bill we saw they had charged us for double drinks. The Biggest surprise thought was the manager s explanation. She clarified that whenever someone orders from the menu they automatically charged you for a double !!! She also said that we drunk them so she can't do anything but she could refund if we returned our drink immediately. How are the customers suppose to visually regognise what is the amount for single and double. They just served the drinks and we as customers simply drunk it. Are we supposed to check the level of every drink served as if this is our job? Also I would please like to hear your official opinion about the drinks ordering from the menu. When i order a rum that costs 5.5 on the menu, am I supposed to be charged for a double or this is something the manager made up just to avoid the situation? In any case the place was fun to spend some time playing darts. The manager was polite but we dont believe she handle the situation the right way as she made us feel like we tried to "cheat" by trying to cover her collegue...
