Nando's Bristol - Cabot Circus — Restaurant in Bristol

I recently (evening 14/9) visited Nando's Bristol Cabot Circus branch with my family. Unfortunately, our experience was far from pleasant, primarily due to the behaviour of one of the servers (a black man wearing a dark grey long-sleeve top, long hair)

From the moment we walked in, the server displayed impatience and a terrible attitude, practically ordering us to join the queue. When it was our turn to be seated, he couldn't be bothered to walk over to us; he waved at us as if he was telling a pet to come over. When we sat down, he spoke in a barely audible manner, and when I politely asked him to repeat himself, he impatiently questioned my understanding of English. “Do you not understand English” was his exact words.

As someone who has lived in the UK for many years, I have never encountered such awful treatment. It was appalling. It left me with the impression that this person may harbor discriminatory attitudes, particularly against Asians. Racism should never be tolerated in any establishment, especially in a well-known chain like Nando's.

I urge the restaurant management to investigate this matter and ensure their staff receive proper training in customer service and inclusivity. No one should have to endure such an unpleasant experience...

Saturday 23/09/2023 Excellent food. We were seated immediately upon arrival outside the restaurant on a table with a bench and a straw chair which was very uncomfortable for me but fine for my companion. We ordered via Nando’s app at 1425h, the bottomless glass was immediately given to us afterwards. However, starter was served at 1445h and main meal was served at 1458hrs. There are so many workers there who were working tirelessly as the turnover of the customers was pretty high. Food delivered fresh and hot. I really loved the crispy sweet potatoes and my husband enjoyed the warm pitta bread with hummus. I recommend the spicy grain salad with feta cheese (side). We ordered the shared platter with 4 small sides, broccoli was delicious and spicy salad was awesome! Total price £41.95 We’ve been here many times already and staff were friendly, helpful and hardworking. The guy opposite us likely ordered at the till and his food was served first before us but seemed seated after us. So maybe it’s quicker to order at the till...

Every time my wife and I travel to Bristol, we make it a point to visit Nando’s at Cabot Circus, not just for the delicious food, but because of one very special member of the team, Mustafa.

We first met him a few years ago, and from that day forward, his exceptional service, professionalism, and warmth have stood out to us. He is consistently polite, attentive, and genuinely kind always making sure our dining experience is perfect from start to finish.

What really makes Mustafa special is his ability to combine efficiency with genuine care for customers. He makes us feel welcome and valued every single time. His manners, communication skills, and positive attitude truly reflect the highest standards of customer service.

We could go to any Nando’s in Bristol, but we always choose Cabot Circus just to see Mustafa and enjoy the outstanding service he provides. He is a true credit to the Nando’s team, and we sincerely hope his dedication and excellence are recognised.
