My recent stay at Premier Suites (March 20-22, 2025) was unfortunately marred by several issues that made our weekend getaway less than enjoyable.||Upon check-in, the complimentary Prosecco promised as part of our booking was nowhere to be found. While Christina at virtual reception was extremely helpful and arranged for it the following day, this meant our first evening's celebration plans were completely disrupted.||The most concerning issue was with privacy and housekeeping. On two separate occasions before noon, housekeeping staff entered our room without knocking first - an alarming invasion of privacy that left us feeling uncomfortable throughout our stay. A third attempted entry occurred while I was in the room, where staff tried calling reception but simply left when the call didn't connect.||Despite Christina kindly arranging a complimentary late checkout as compensation for the Prosecco mishap, this arrangement wasn't honored at checkout. Erica at reception claimed no record of this agreement existed and flatly refused to verify it through any other means. I was ultimately forced to pay the late checkout fee despite our prior arrangement.||The stark contrast between Christina's excellent service and Erica's unhelpful attitude highlighted inconsistent staff training. The virtual reception system made it impossible to resolve these issues face-to-face.||For a property marketing itself as premium accommodation, these lapses in service, communication, and respect for guest privacy were deeply disappointing. Until Premier Suites addresses these fundamental service issues, I cannot recommend staying...
Read moreThey moved us to a different hotel with 48 hours notice, where we had no cooking facilities and grown adults were asked to sleep on a sofa bed. We had booked months in advance a weekend away for 11 of us. We had booked Cabot as we wanted to eat at the property to keep costs down ( we were reimbursed for our shopping) and wanted the communal space to enjoy at our leisure. However with 48 hours notice they said that they could no longer accommodate us, they said that they would move us to a hotel close by, promising us 4x twin rooms, and 1 queen room with a sofa, I explained that a sofa bed would not be suitable for an adult and that it was not a like for like swap they responded that as we only had 11 guests that’s all we would need, (we had booked 3x 2 bed apartments) and with such a small timeframe we had no other option. When we got to the new hotel they said that they had explained to Cabot that they would not be able to offer twins as none were available for the entire weekend!! We had a group of mixed gender adults, some of which were pregnant ( so really not ideal sharing small double beds ). We tried to call Cabot to say that the small sofa bedroom was especially not ideal and that we needed another room. An hour had passed and still Cabot had not even made an attempt to rectify the situation, another 1/2 an hour still nothing and the receptionist would call us back, but we heard nothing and then were unable to contact them. We had to book a room at our own expense and eat out the entire weekend…. So our budget weekend away to Bristol became much...
Read moreHaving booked 3 apartments in November, for 10 of us to visit during February half term, we were excited to visit. We'd spent a lot on theatre tickets, pre paid activities and parking. ||Imagine our disappointment to recieve a phone call on Friday afternoon (due to arrive Tuesday morning) telling us that people already staying in 'our' apartments wanted to extend their stay, and that we couldnt come.. ||We suggested that the reason that our booking was cancelled because theyd been offered more money. This wasnt denied..||We eventually received a call from the manager who originally offered to put us up in x 3 Marriott rooms. We had specifically wanted to self cater- not possible in a hotel room and would have meant that 2 big children would have needed to share a double bed, in a room with parents. Eventually the only remaining apartment that could be sourced in Bristol at such short notice during the holidays was booked for 8 of us. This was wholly inadequate. We were travelling with a disabled child and it was on the 2nd and 3rd floors with no lift. It was 2.5 miles out of the centre and 2 members of the party had to stay elesewhere. We had been so looking forward to our stay and it was utterly spoiled. We've never been gazumped by a hotel before and it was very stressful and disappointing. They offered us a 30% discount on our next stay- think we'll pass on...
