Food was bland and greasy, even with 50% off wouldn’t be my first place of recommendation. We only ordered a few things and they all came out with quite a bit of a time difference. The place wasn’t busy and yet we felt left behind. The pad thai was solid but the noodles were overloaded with beansprouts; it felt like I was eating leftovers halfway through eating it. Can’t really fault the spring rolls though, they were quite nice.
The puddings were a let down. The mango rice pudding tasted solely of coconut milk and the banana fritters were oily and just fell apart, not even the cheap vanilla ice cream or chocolate sauce made them better.
The waitresses there are all lovely, but seem unprepared for the job. We had 4 separate ladies serve us, which is lovely that they’re trying to be attentive, but when you’re asked the same questions multiple times by multiple people before you’ve even had a chance to enjoy your food, you get a bit fed up.
The atmosphere was very lovely, the place is so tidy and had a unique feel. Perhaps this is just one of those places that needs more time to bloom, but with that as a first impression, it was quite a let down. Whether it’s a hit or a miss, I would recommend giving it a go, as the place has loads...
Read moreSecond time dining here, once during the opening week and again today.
Restaurant is very well decorated and a clean and fresh feeling and atmosphere.
The server was very functional, took and delivered order but no chat at all and no checking how things were etc. I really would have rather ordered via a screen.
The satay stir fry was delicious, filling and well presented.
What I just cannot get over is how dead the place is, I work in Cabot so walk past every day and I’ve never seen more than 3 tables seated. I think part of this is the prices… the place is very pricey and they offer no discounts, lunch deals etc, was over £25 for my lunch and whilst it is tasty it’s just way too expensive.
They then add a 10% service charge on which I think is naughty, especially when I was the only person sat in the restaurant !
Come on guys, Cabot is packed with restaurants, you need to do more to...
Read moreWanted to eat somewhere a bit different, not burger or pizza. Found this place which was clean and nice inside. The staff were friendly and chatty when taking the order but the food was below par. My beef stir fry was really salty and the beef was chewy. Thai food should feel clean and fresh when eating but it didn't. Far too much Soy Sauce in it and very little peanut taste or other flavour. I also think it's wrong when they add service charge but no one asked us how the food was until the end. Also not the restaurants fault but there was literally loads of kids just hanging around outside that keep going past and at one point there was an argument. One of the tables in the restaurant started to vaped and were asked to stop but they continue when staff were not looking. I was visiting the area and so got the feeling it wasn't very nice. If you've had authentic Thai food,...
