We are regular customers with Oowee but have found that there's always at least 1 or 2 things wrong with the order and it's getting to the point now where we may stop buying here. Placed a large and expensive order last night (around £70) which was missing the 5 chicken tenders we ordered (not the first time these have been forgotten) and one of the burgers was missing a hashbrown as well as being very dry. The shrimp fries had barely any sauce/toppings on so were also very dry. We are frequently having to claim money back for missing items with Oowee. The food we do receive is really nice and I'd love to buy there again in the future but unless things improve then we will go elsewhere for vegan burgers etc. The staff really need to pay more attention to the details in orders and make sure that the full order is being sent and at a decent quality. Last week we received clucking fries that had a sprinkle of cheese on and no gravy. Either the staff are over worked and need more help/ employees or they're lazy and not bothering to check orders before they go out. It's good that we can at least claim some money back for these errors, however ideally we would like the food we ordered and not have to claim refunds. Oowee, your food can be great and is great but you really need to sort it out when it comes to completing orders correctly or you will lose a customer.

Can you get fast food styled food but Vegan in Bristol City Centre? Hell yeah. Oowee the Dirty Burger people who already had a few other places in Bristol and one in London have taken the plunge and opened an All Vegan offering in Baldwin Street at the Castle Park end. You can get all manner of burgers and fries and shakes. The hardest thing will be to decide what to have. The choices are amazing. They are also adding to the menu regularly, so the Lotus biscuit shake came out a few weeks ago! A couple of new dessert options were being trialed yesterday! [5/3/2019] Top tip: you don't have to be Vegan to enjoy the food. Many of my colleagues happily wander in and gorge! I feel I should add a warning here, once you try these items, you will want to go back often. The warning here is that a) it is expensive compared to your national brands, b) it is "junk" food, so in moderation please.! What am I saying, get down there and try it. You be the judge of when you should have it!

Could smell the deliciousness from half way down the street and it certainly didn't disappoint! I had the 3 piece chick'n box (pictured below). So yummy and I cannot get over the texture. It was amazing! Absolutely worth a try! I went with non-vegan friends and they couldn't believe it either. Warning you'll need a mint after eating the slaw though 🤣 Also if you're a slow eater like me then the chick'n can get a little tough...but I blame that more on me taking photos of it than anything else. Sorry not sorry 🤣 We went just before 6pm on a Friday and half of my group got stuck in the queue nearly out of the door but we were all served so quickly it was really impressive. Go early if you want a table though. Friendly, Fast and Delicious. Can't wait to try everything else!

I want to start this off by saying I have been a fan of Oowee for about 5 years, going to the bristol and manchester location frequently, so I've seen alot of my fave items come and go (namely the shrimp fries), and unfortunately my latest visit a few days ago was a massive let down. I ordered the cluckin fries (one of my all time favourite vegan foods) and the gravy was awful. It was bland and a snotty texture which I just couldn't get over, it also looked like it had come out of a squeeze bottle rather than a ladle and it was luke warm (at best). This was so insanely disappointing, especially since I also ordered a side of gravy and I could tip the cup upside down without the gravy coming out. Considering how yummy those fries used to be, with an abundance of cheese and gravy, now its plain fries with a sprinkle of unmelted, hard cheese (which i think has also been changed recently?) and a slither of cold, squeezed on solid gravy. Not sure if theres been a recipe change but it tasted completely different - I understand with inflation and cost that the prices need to be on the higher side but I do expect quality to come with that, as a student I also don't have much money to spend on takeaways so its a big treat to go out for dinner with my partner and getting vegan junk food.

I feel bad leaving a negative review for a business I have enjoyed for such a long time, and I don't want to sound righteous, but it comes from a place of love. I personally think the menu is too big, doing too much, and focusing on specials/ presentation over quality. The gravy is one of the things that makes Oowee different from non-vegan places that offer vegan options- please focus on your USP rather than just trying to make the biggest 'dirtiest' burger that you can. I would also recommend you take new menu pictures since the chicken has also changed and the burgers look nothing like the pictures in store.

That being said, staff are always lovely and the chilli nuggets were really nice. Looking forward to hopefully seeing some changes and coming...

Had this for the first time tonight. Crazy prices. The food was alright - very nice chips. The chicken pieces are OK. Could use some extra spices in the mix as wasn't as tasty as others I have tried. The main let down was the insane cost of the food. Even for being in the middle of Bristol that was way over the top for what you're getting. By the time I had made my order and realised the price isn't for a 'meal' and just for a burger (chips being an extra fiver) I didn't want to then back out as we had gone out of our way specifically to go there and we were mad hungry after travelling. Unfortunately, this is the big reason I wouldn't go back. I can handle a burger that is 'just ok', it happens all the time. But paying almost a tenner for it (especially when you don't want all the extras - just the seitan burger and lettuce) with no chips or drink included? No.

Also - some health and safety issues with the flooring. Really greasy and slippery when it's been raining.

EDIT: In response to the owners comment below - no. We did not order dirty fries. We asked for enough PLAIN fries for 4 people, which turned out to be one box, because when I asked for 4 portions of fries they told me they only do the boxes. My total bill for four seitan plain burgers with no sauce and four portions worth of plain fries (one box) came to over 40 quid. Which is why I was so shocked. Which is why I won't be back. I gave a review as asked by Google after being there. If you don't like that then there isn't much I can say, but don't tell me my review is unfair and that I am exaggerating when I am the one that had to fork the cash over. I know how much it was. I know how much I got for it and I am simply saying that for me it wasn't worth the price...
