Pizzaland — Restaurant in Bristol

Unbelievably arrogant: earlier I ordered the Fittatina Bolognese and a pizza. The pizza was disappointing as was the frittatina, particularly as we received something completely different to what we ordered

My girlfriend and I were very disappointed to receive essentially a Mac and cheese frittatina, when we ordered the “Fittatina Bolognese” on Deliveroo. On leaving a review, the owner responded and told us it was clearly labelled as a cacio e Pepe - because rather than admitting they had delivered something completely different, they actually changed the name of it on deliveroo and told us we were wrong!

When the owner of a restaurant insists the customer is wrong and actually changes the name of a product in order to save face, how on earth are you supposed to trust them?

my favourite pizza in Bristol! very affordable too. had drinks, dessert and two pizzas shared with a friend, walked out with a bill of £32, happy and filled. Pizzas are perfect in every way! made with sourdough, the base and crust are super soft, chewy, and crunchy. Really recommend trying out their specials too - we had a Pizza Pistacchiosa (pistachio cream with fresh cheese and ham), AND IT WAS THE BEST PIZZA I'VE EVER TRIED! it was my first time trying it, but already in love with the complex, umami flavour. Pretty busy on a saturday night, the place was mostly full / reserved and lots of deliveries getting picked up too. The tomato sauce on the pizza is clearly tinned, and there was so much of it that the dough was completely wet and the pizza fell apart in my hands. A horrible soggy mess. The chicken on our pizza was overcooked and dry as cardboard.

We also ordered the “Frittatina Bolognese”, described as “pasta with bechamel, beef ragu, mozzarella cheese and basil, dee fried”. What we received was a bland, deep fried macaroni cheese - 0 ragu or basil! How can you advertise one thing and deliver something completely different?!

As a serious cook and food obsessive, this place is sorely disappointing and hugely overrated. Poor excuse for pizza. If you want an authentic pizza then...
