Chardonnay, nascetta, sauvignon blanc, riesling the 2021 dragon is a brilliant light yellow in colour. On the nose are aromas of lemon, lime zest, lemon curd and hints of mint. The palate is refreshing and structured, with distinct notes of peach, apricot and mango balanced by an energetic saline finish.

I visited here and ordered two plates of pasta. The taste, flavour was nice for both plates, but what made me disappointed was mushroom pasta. I ordered mushroom pasta because description said it includes black truffle, but what I saw was just normal mushrooms and I couldnt see any black truffle mushroom in the plates. They said truffle was inside the sauce, but then they shouldve wrote down black truffle powder or black truffle oil something like that. Because usually customers think sliced black truffle or shredded black truffle is gonna be added when they see the description. Anyway, the taste itself was nice but I wanna give only 3 stars because I think the description was exaggerated. Please be careful when you read the description for each dishes.

We had a delicious meal last night at our local friendly Italian restaurant. We had calamari to start and another starter that I can’t spell! (Truffle, mushroom and deep fried… arancini?) followed by crab linguine (me) and partner had the pasta dish again with mushrooms which he loved. The manager was lovely and so was Lucy who squeezed us in before our film. The only slight comments that I also mentioned to the manger (sorry forgotten your name) was that my crab pasta dish wasn’t very hot and the very crunchy breadcrumbs I personally didn’t add to the dish and I think would have been better without. However, absolutely will return as it was a splendid evening and food top notch .

First time at Prego—and what a delight. Unpretentious, relaxed service and extremely well-cooked and presented Italian food. Don't usually find myself in this part of Bristol but definitely would return! We started with Bruschetta with slow-cooked rabbit ragu with pancetta and peas, and Calamari fritti with aioli and lemon. The pasta mains were Conchiglioni alla Norma with roasted aubergine and red pepper, San Marzano tomato, crushed almonds, and parmesan and Wye Valley asparagus, Italian pea, mascarpone and pesto with lumaconi with parmesan. Treated ourselves with a carafe of the Grillo from Sicily. Top marks!

I'm sad to post a bit of a negative review because I've had a lovely time at this restaurant in the past, but unfortunately the service yesterday was not very pleasant. We were admittedly 10 minutes late for our reservation, which had a 1.5hr time limit on. However, this must surely happen all the time in a restaurant and we were made to feel uncomfortable and rushed from the moment we ordered drinks. First the waitress was making sarcastic comments, then accused us of being half an hour late which was just not true. Then the manager came out to 'apologise' for rushing us, whilst giving many underhanded comments about how it was really our fault for being 10 minutes late. I understand their frustration as they need to make enough money to justify opening, and they were concerned about their next booking, but I believe that when you have a table who are spending £100+ then you should at least be polite when explaining why things might need to be a little bit quicker. It was more about the staff's attitude than the situation. We were essentially thrown out when there were 3 empty tables! I'd gotten there as soon as I could, still in my walking clothes as I'd unfortunately had to stay 40 minutes late at the hospital where I work. So to have a really stressful afternoon turn into a stressful evening was just not what I was expecting at prego. I'm giving them 3*s because I've had a nice time there before, one of the waitresses was lovely and because I cant fault the food. The pizzas were delicious! I'm hoping the bad attitudes were purely down to the stress of keeping a small business afloat at this uncertain time. For Prego, I think you should add a note to the booking process that encourages people to arrive earlier than the specified time, and also consider coming up with a contingency plan for parties who are late, as I suspect that this will continue to be a problem for you and rushing your customers in a rude manner probably isn't the...

We won't be going again or recommending it to friends... Why did we dislike it? Because despite having had several very good experiences there, the ultimate experience was far from satisfactory! The reason being, we took our 4 year old and although on previous occasions the staff were very good with her, the staff on this occasion (who appeared to be altogether different) showed total indifference bordering on ignoring her couple of innocent questions during the night (two or three at most)! But that's not the worst of it. After eating what was I have to admit, a reasonable meal (not quite the usual quality, but reasonable) We asked for our bill and promptly paid in cash, leaving a tip (wish we hadn't bothered) and got up to leave... The waitress rushed over with a credit card machine and upon realising we'd left cash couldn't make up her mind to open the door or check whether we'd paid the correct amount. In her half hearted and panicked state she jammed the door on my 4 year old's toe causing her to yelp and cry... I was still saying my goodbyes inside the restaurant and wasn't aware of the event until I'd exited, still being slightly bothered by the clear lack of trust the waitress had shown. I'd heard the door bump but not realised why, until it was explained to me by my partner who was outside nursing my daughters foot!

When later confronted about this, not even realising she'd hurt her, she gave a - not at all convincing - apology and didn't even bother to check or apologise in person to my daughter... Shame as we were previously regular and happy patrons of this restaurant There was a bruise on my daughters foot... evidence of what had...

Luke warm food and disappointing ....

I have dined here on many occasions in recent years and have always came away feeling happy and reassured with the experience, but todays lunchtime dining experience fell well short.

Our main course which was meat balls were served a luke warm at best , the clue was the unmelted parmasen cheese !.....having eaten a few mouthfuls, the food was clearly not hot. I bought this to the attention of the waitress who offered to rectify this and also offered a complimentary dessert, all well and good ?.....absolutely not, I’m not interested in a free anything , I have limited time to dine out and want a professional service when I do.

Hot food served luke warm is unacceptable in any professional kitchen.

I’m no masterchef wannabe , but even I know that Pasta is best served on a hot plate, sadly ours was not.

The chefs here are supposed to be professionals who rely on getting it right to make their living , not relying on offers ofcomplimentary desserts to patch up basic errors.

We didn’t take them up on their offer , we paid in full and left , the restaurant business is competitive , I won’t be rushing back in a hurry, time to look elsewhere and give my business to a restaurant who is prepared to work hard to get it right and who is not relying on any past...
