Siam Smile Thai Restaurant — Restaurant in Bristol

I experienced the worst ever racism from the Thai cashier lady. She gave a warm welcome to every British customer but not for me as I'm an Asian. She used to visit every other customers table and check if they needed anything. There was no smile at her face when she came to my table for the payment. This kind of people should be removed from the society except all these bad experiences the food was really good.

I completely disagree with you because there was a guy (it seems like he is a student) who was really good in his manners. But this lady looks like a senior staff and was very arrogant. Why on earth would you order Thai food from a place that charges 4.50 for a side of rice? Did you know their dishes don’t include rice, despite the high price? What a surprise to order takeaway and get a dish with no rice. Would that ever happen in Thailand, or literally anywhere else? Nope. Don’t order, it’s a rip off. They are clearly cheating customers when they don’t even alert them on the menu that main courses don’t include rice. This is not only cruel service but manipulative. I hope that charging that much for rice while not even saying their dishes don’t include it (which almost every other Thai place on earth does) causes pain to their business over time. Quite possibly the best Thai food I’ve had. It seemed maybe a tad expensive as compared to other restaurants until I actually started eating everything and it was quite clear that the quality was very high-end. Khanom Jeeb is one of my favorite appetizers, but it can be hit or miss at most places (with the misses being a bit fishy tasting). Siam Smile’s Khanom Jeeb was perfect, as was everything else I had.
