What can I say. Not only the best pub I've been to in Bristol, but probably in my top 10. Decent range of beer at a price you'd expect 10 years ago, quality locals, and the landlady is mint. Sports on the telly, great banter, a range of entertainment and a proper local for local people vibe. Not a food gaff, but the beef and horseradish rolls behind the bar are a meal in themselves. If you like a spit and sawdust/does what it says on the tin kind of place, this is for you. If you prefer a more upmarket hipster experience where you pay £5 for a pint and sit on uncomfortable picnic furniture inside then there's a ton of alternatives locally.
