I honestly don’t even know where to start with this place, which is such a shame because Subway used to be good. Now it just feels like it’s lost all its love.
I came here 4 nights ago at around 8:45 p.m. (the shop closes at 9:00). The donny sweeping clearly saw me and my pal walk up to the door, only for us to realise it was already closed. I was confused. As we started walking away, I thought to myself, 'wait a minute, it’s not supposed to be closed yet?' I was PMSing pretty badly and really craving my Subway fix, so I was extra disappointed.
A moment later, he kindly opened the door and told us he’d run out of bread. Fair enough, except I could SEE the bread on the counter. I used to work at Subway so I know what the score is. You cannae close up 15 minutes early and lie to my face when it’s obvious you just want to go home and watch Netflix. And I bet he still clocked out at 9:00 on the timesheet too, even though he’d shut early.
Fast forward to today. I had to drop my car off for its MOT and walked past this same shop on the way home. I thought.. you know what, I’ll finally get that Subway I’ve been craving all week!
When I walked in, the manager, who was glued to his phone, looked at me like I’d just walked into Azkaban. His soulless eyes barely glanced up as he took my order, acting like serving me was interrupting his doomscrolling session. Not once did he make me feel welcome or like I was even allowed to be there.
I ordered a meal that came with a drink and a cookie. I politely asked if he could warm the cookie up for a few seconds in the microwave (I love a warm cookie, especially now that it’s getting chilly outside.) He just looked at me and said, no. I pointed toward the microwave I could clearly see and asked again, explaining that I just like my cookie warm. He flat out refused and shook his head.
Honestly, I don’t think the cookie police would’ve shown up if he’d zapped it for ten seconds. It was in a bag so there's no risk of cross contamination and even if there was, he could’ve used a wee box.
After stepping out of that place, I genuinely felt like I needed counselling. The whole experience was just...
Read moreThis was the worst Subway I've been to and I go to a lot of Subway's. so let me just, I walked in with my dad asking if we can use some coupons and say just said no?. First off the coupons were valid, they just couldn't be asked to make 4 sandwiches. THEN we said we'd just pay full price so I ask for a meatball sub, and the ladies goes "hmmm, I don't think so" then checks the pot and goes "fine.". And the whole time neither of the man or woman working there could be asked, they were rude, didn't listen. so instead I went to the subway in fishponds, who DID take our coupons and I will be leaving them a 5 star review. DO NOT EAT HERE. The staff were vile and I'ma be real with you I didn't even order there because people that rude and unhygienic definitely shouldn't be serving food. I feel ill just thinking about it. So yeah don't go here, the one in fishponds up the road was excellent and the staff even made fresh fillings for...
Read moreWorst Subway I've been too! Although the food was the standard Subway protocol. The service was terrible! I felt like doing something wrong by placing more than 1 order. At one point the huffed at me because i added another sandwich. Normally they ask if they should change gloves as 1 meal was plant based. Never got that option! I asked for potato wedges and the guy said No! I asked why and he said it was extra!!! I told him i know and he reluctantly made the side. (Undercooked) with no offer of a side sauce. I would usually base this level of service on it being busy. But there were no other customers in there so I can't excuse this service. Another colleague did the payment and seemed a lot more with it. In a time with tight budgets and lots of competition, customer service is so important for customer loyalty. Don't think I'll return to...
