This is unfortunately a two star review, despite wishing it wasn't. We ate here on a Monday evening and the restaurant was no more than half full. From ordering to receiving out starters (momos) we waited 55 minutes - I'm not quite sure why when there were only four other tables seated.

We then waited a further 20 minutes for our main courses, except the bread...which came another 15 minutes later and after two further reminders that we'd ordered them.

My chicken curry was off-puttingly oily. The base flavour was good, but hard to enjoy when you're having to scoop out spoonfuls of oil. My partners curry was OK.

The service was unfortunately poor, and staff spent more time behind the counter and were generally unavailable.

Atmosphere wise - the restaurant was oddly silent...some background music at the least would work well.

Overall was it worth £65...for a total of 1hr 30m waiting, food quality, atmosphere and...

The experience at the restaurant was absolutely delightful! From the warm and inviting ambience to the attentive and friendly staff, every detail was well taken care of. The moment I stepped in, I felt welcomed and comfortable, l felt like coming home.

And let me tell you about the food! It was an absolute delight for the taste buds. Each dish was carefully crafted with fresh ingredients and bursting with flavours. From the appetizers to the main course and dessert, every bite was a culinary masterpiece. The presentation of the dishes was also impeccable, adding to the overall dining experience.

Overall rating is 10/10, the restaurant provided a memorable experience with its charming atmosphere, excellent service, and delicious food. It truly exceeded my expectations, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a remarkable dining...

When I think of food, The Journey is one of the first restaurants that comes to mind. As a dedicated vegetarian with a love for dishes infused with spice, this place has truly captured my heart.

My absolute go-to on the menu is their MOMO. From the very first bite, it’s clear that these dumplings have been carefully crafted to release an unrivalled burst of Tibetan flavour. The harmony of spices and textures is simply outstanding.

The staff at The Journey are always smiling and polite, which adds to the warmth of the dining experience. Plus, I’ve never had to wait long for my food, making it all the more enjoyable.

If you ever find yourself in Bristol, make sure to visit The Journey; it’s a culinary experience not...

we've always enjoyed a good Asian meal out ...and we came across this lovely place. what can we say ....this is simply one of the best restaurants we've been in, and it just happens to be Tibetan. we have our meals there whenever we go out, and its becoming my favorite everyday cafe too [not enough people know they are open during the day, they've asked me to put the word about , daytime hours are [currently] from noon to 3pm] Had a mango lassie today, simply the best I've ever tasted, rich, totally indulgent. Talking about dogs, we also discovered that they are welcome here, unlike so many restaurants these days.
