The Pipe & Slippers — Restaurant in Bristol

A shame really to only give one star but when I attended the Pipe and Slippers with my friends, there was a large group of people with one particular girl absolutely wasted, dancing on tables, spilling peoples drinks, breaking glasses on at least 5 occasions, getting her breasts out and trying to start fights. I was surprised they let her stay in the venue and even more surprised when they kept serving her, to then be told by one of her group that their friend owns the venue and that’s why she’s still there. She ruined a lot of people nights because people didn’t want to get up and dance while she was there and if this was any other venue this girl would have been asked to leave very early on, friends are important but your business should come first, I won’t be reattending although this Venue had the potential of a...

Very tasty Sunday roast on a calm atmosphere. We ordered lamb, chicken and veggie roasts and all were delicious, with vegetables and cripsy roasted potatoes. The meat was very tender, particularly the lamb which combined perfectly with the mint sauce. I was happy to see they had a good selection of beers, including low and no alcohol (Clear head my favourite). The pub had a very nice vibe with a couple more tables but was quiet enough to allow conversation. The bartenders were pretty cool. I liked the guy in the glasses more, was a lot more friendlier. I also wish that we could have seen more of the guy who picks up the dirty cutlery as he seemed very nice and more of a social person. Luckily on the Sunday I managed to get the last seats to have a sunday roast, although it was very cramped. But the place was amazing, the games provided whilst we wait were different and not your typical style. The food was absolutely amazing, the lamb roast came with a beautiful gravy.
