We visited Tuk Tuk as we’d heard their Korean Fried chicken was delicious and it certainly was, it was the highlight of our meal. The beef brisket boa buns were also delicious, the meat fell apart. The chicken dumplings were tasty, personally we prefer fried ones, although they had a slight crisp on the bottom and for steamed dumplings they were the tastiest I’ve had. The sauce with them was also very nice, in other places I’ve found it too acidic but it was the perfect balance and really added to the flavour. Friends ordered the prawn bites and salt and pepper squid which they both enjoyed. They also had the katsu fries, the sauce was really good, although they did find the powder on top had quite a kick to it (it’s not listened on the menu so if you want it mild ask them to leave this off). We also shared the yakitori, Japanese style chicken teriyaki skewers which we wouldn’t order again. It tasted fine but we all felt we were expecting more from the dish and compared to everything else was just okay. The chicken pieces are small so you get more for your money from the other dishes portion or taste wise. Service was great, the staff were friendly and attentive. One friend requested no peanuts on her chicken, a preference, but they were good to straight away check no allergies. We pre booked online on the day, it was quick and easy to do. We visited 6:30 on a Saturday evening, most others were walks ins and it was fairly busy. The food came out quickly and nice and fresh and hot.

Staying at a hotel around the corner so called in here on a whim. So glad I did because it was a great find. I got a few "small" plates, but they are not small at all. A massive bowl of delicious, chunky kimchi that was wonderfully spicy, a fantastic melt-in-my-mouth bap bun, squishylicious octopus balls and a HUGE plate of sweet and spicy Korean fried chicken. Washed down with an underrated mango Rubicon like a proper chicken joint. Inside was a great atmosphere too, the people working were really friendly, even though they were busy making and taking orders and they had great tunes playing while I ate. I'm sad I don't live in Bristol, because I'd be here a lot....maybe it's best for my waistline I don't.

Food 4.5/5 The chicken wasn't from a breast I don't think. Lots of curry sauce. A little tangy-sour carrots made all the difference. There's some yellow turnup-tyoe vegetable, still pretty nice. Absolute banger for £9 lunch deal! ****- Service 5/5 Polite young staff. You sit down, your food gets put in front of you. Sufficient chopsticks and napkins. ***** Atmosphere 4.5/5 The front of the shop doesn't let a lot of light in. There's tekno playing from the speakers :) feels like Lakota's canteen. Overall the place gets the "belly happy" and "I'll be back"!

I used to order from Tuk tuck thru Deliveroo and always loved it. Pad thai and dumplings are my personal favorite and I have ordered them for like many times. Yesterday we wanna try eat in and went to their restaurant and ordered all our favorites. And found a hair in pad thai along with noodles 🥺😒 we informed the waitress, they didn't react much as it seems like regular thing. Never apologized and took our plates silently. Didn't expected this and left the place disappointed. Will never visit tuk tuck or order a take away, you lost me Tuk Tuck. Definitely need to improve your hygiene standards and servicing skills.

Update: Thank you for your reply. However, I must clarify a few points. We politely called the waitress aside, as we didn’t want to disrupt the experience of nearby tables, and informed her about the hair in our Pad Thai. Unfortunately, her response felt robotic, with no genuine apology or regret, as she simply stated, “Do you want a refund or a free meal?” After seeing a hair in our food, it’s natural for anyone to lose their appetite, so we declined both offers.

The plates were taken away, and we were left waiting for any acknowledgment, which is a basic aspect of hospitality. Instead, the waitress returned from the kitchen, did not address us, and continued writing on the board. This lack of empathy gave the impression that she didn’t feel accountable for the situation.

We understand that the fault likely lies with the kitchen, but as a team, it’s crucial to take responsibility for the overall experience. This feedback isn’t to place blame, but to share our perspective as customers. Not everyone is looking for a refund or a free meal. What we seek is a genuine acknowledgment of the issue and actions that show the experience matters.

To us, this encounter felt more like a vending machine transaction than a restaurant experience. We hope this feedback helps improve future interactions for...

Unfortunately, my recent visit to this restaurant was incredibly disappointing. Not only was the food below standardlacking flavour and freshness but the cleanliness of the entire establishment was shocking. The place appeared as though it hadn't been properly cleaned in a very long time.

The photos speak for themselves: heavy dust buildup on fittings and a sink area in the toilets that was so dirty I had to resort to using my own hand sanitiser rather than touch anything. Paper waste was left around, grime in the corners, and general poor hygiene throughout. A clean environment is the minimum any customer should expect especially in a food establishment. I hope the management takes these concerns seriously and addresses them urgently. I won’t...
