Come over to UK on holiday from Malta and staying premier Inn broadlands .. beautiful city with some stunning views and quirky buildings ... the best part of our holiday was certainly our visit to this great Indian restaurant .. easy to find and brilliant parking area... Upon arrival I couldn't help but notice the great decor love it .. the toilets nice and clean and even have hand cream I'm there. . We was greeted by great staff smiling chatty and so friendly Walid Nesh (I think that's his name maybe I misunderstood) and Talmar so great and brilliant service not a bad word to say ...
We ordered poppadoms.. the most delicious like pickle and poppadoms we have tasted in the UK and Malta. .. Mains we had 2 pilau rice.. chicken madras .. a special of mixed king prawns prawn chicken and lamb dish and bombay aloo with naan breads... absolutely amazing...
Can't fault any of it.. recommend you go early we turned up at 5.50 and noticed after 6ish it started getting busy and was only a Wednesday so probably best to book!!
There's is not one bad thing I can say about this place and I read some reviews below talking about price. .. try having an Indian in Malta the above would come to 85 or 90 eur and would be 1 star rating food yuck.. the bill come to 54£ and I would have easily paid 70 to 80.. one thing I will criticise are the knives the shape of the knives make it awkward to eat with I would change them altho they are nice posh ones I couldn't eat with it so used fork and spoon ...
Thanks so much for the experience guys we will definitely...
Read moreThis is the best Indian I have had. It was an absolute pleasure to dine at The Merchants Of Spice 2 Norwich, Norfolk.
A real authentic warm ambiance, I loved the music & the big round table we had was perfect for the six of us.The food quality is unmatched, really clean feel, The tika platter is a must the lamb Rogan josh was superb also. The naan was perfect with a slight toasted bottom, quite unique & tasted lovely.
The service second to non, staff polite & more than ready to help us.
Nish the owner was up front & center he can be very proud of his restaurant, this is number 2 I believe & I have no doubt they’ll be a number 3 in the future.
Thank you for a great night.
Oh also I must add there’s a very big spacious car park which was lovely because normally that’s the biggest nightmare. Was lovely to have onsite parking. We traveled in two cars so that...
Read moreLarge party yesterday food and service good. Pricey on drinks and popadoms. Approx. £86 for 1x adult 2xkids. Worked out £0.80 for popadoms and dips. £3.60 lemonade. Keema naan was not so nice too much garlic and not a good colour. We only ordered one each but communication and bill paying in a group was chaos. They need a much better system. Maybe pay as you order and do popadoms and dips free. Staff very attentive, quick service and polite. Accessibility good. Facilities clean. Temperature good. Staff use shortened names for dishes as not exactly as on menu and that caused slight delay in getting right food to right person. Service charge added regardless of whether you feel you got good service, so very presumptuous and builds on the fact that most would not challenge the charges. Would go again but quite pricey so not in a...
